  • I've got a sharp twin famicom, and I've realized the controller cables are WAAAAY too short. I'd like to do a similar mod like you've done. Do you have a wiring tutorial somewhere? I figured there should be room in the front to mod in two standard nes ports. But how will it work for player 2? P2 has got a microphone on the controller. Will it be a problem?

  • @Elrinth

Unfortunately I haven't had the chance to write tutorial..In my case with the scope, I just had to rewire it..I was tired of the short cables as well..

  • @QoXxXoQ no problem. I found out you could buy a four-score for NES. A Neo-geo / Famicom expansion port cable and simply replace the four-score cable with the neo-geo cable (and ofc wire around stuff) and you don't have to destroy your famicom at all... I'm already ordered both. So I'm looking forwards to make this mod. :D

  • so....why not just use the controler on the famicom instead of plugging in an extra NES one?

  • It is Japanese.

    Please teach the wiring technique.

Four person play adaptor for family computer

I want to tie to the terminal of NES(NewFAMICOM) because it is a circuit the ..four [hori] [pureiya-zuadaputa-].. same.

  • que pelotudez

  • Question about your Famicom adaptor were did you get it because i have an AV Famicom to play my NES games and i love this system but the zapper wont work with it. Where can i find that adaptor i need the Japanese port for the American zapper to work.

  • I have a polystation (chinese famiclon) and I want to put NES controlers and zapper, but my famiclon don't have that port, just the two ports that looks like serial ports, how i can do it?

  • did you make the cartridge converter?

  • Hey could you please tell me how you did the Controller mod? Did you simply split a japanese 3rd party Famicom Controller or light gun cable and attach it to the wires on the NES multi-tap? Do the wires match up exactly? Same color ect? I just bought a Famicom, it's comming straight from Japan, and I'd love to know how you did this so I dont have to sit 2 feet away from my 55" tv. Thanks in advance.

  • Hey could you tell me how you modded the NES four score to work on the famicom? I don't feel like buying a whole new system!

  • Hey man, I want to do this mod myself, do you happen to have a link to the pinout on that 15 pin connector on the front there?

  • Is there a way to convert from Famicom Controller into the NES? (Famicom --> Nes)

I just got a japanese version of the Power Golve, but it doesn't fit to the european version of the NES..

  • Will this work with the AV Famicom because i have the NES satellite and the NES zapper does not work on the AV famicom.

  • nice ideia, i will make this one too when i have a chance ^^

  • I have no idea why people risk wrecking there rare systems just to play NES games on Famicom and vice versa when they have both a NES and Famicom.

  • There is nothing to risk when you know what you are doing...With the right skill, everything is possible....Otherwise,DO NOT ATTEMPT :D ....

  • @QoXxXoQ That is a neat idea (mainly since I like to use Turbo controllers like the NES MAX) but I see a few drawbacks. One you need to mod a NES controller with the player 2 Famicom microphone. Two Nintendo already made a Famicom AV (that looks like the NES Toploader but uses AV instead of RF) that is compatible with US NES controllers making this mod redundant. Three will this still play Famicom games still and the Famicom Disk System. Four I have a Famicom clone.

  • rare?

  • @SPS148669 System wasn't modded to play NES games, it just has a cartridge adapter that is manufactured. The only thing modded is the NES 4 score controller adapter.. those things are $5 a pop.

  • i almost got an avmodded famicom on ebay, but i decided to get the original, for collectors value

  • That is the why you should have 2 Famicom systems instead of only one...One of them for daily use, while the other just for collecting purpouses, besides, if you ever have the chance to watch those antique shows were they give value to old stuff, sometimes, things have a higher value when items are modded to work better....

  • What I'd like to know is a good place to find that 72-60 pin converter that allows NES games to play on a Famicom. Any suggestions? I've already tried eBay and Amazon and a lot of other places that were a dead end...

  • just awesome i want those adapters, but they,re pretty rare and very expansive.

  • rare, I'll say yes, because I modded this one myself...Expensive, not really, is just a hacked NES Four Score multitap...

  • Damn that modded multitap in the ext port is an awesome idea!
