I think this series is an excellent introduction to Luxemburg's work. Being a German I am grateful for every understandable modern reflection of German leftist intellectualism. The fact that Germans have to use American media is somewhat paradox, but a logical consequence of the Neo-McCarthysim in contemporary Germany.

@Amiduffer There was a huge and valid political movement to keep Britain out of WW1 in Britain at that time, some have even suggested that this may have forestalled the rise of national socialism, or the brutal way Bolshevism unfolded in the USSR.

I'm inclined to take this proposal seriously..but the suggestion that WW1 was orchestrated by Britain smacks of a familiar sounding conspiracy theory. Where is the evidence?

Allendes socialistic polices only led to the increase of prices of basic goods that were then only available at the black markets, high inflation (600 %), sky high debts which go hand in hand with inflation if you start printing money yourself, high unemployment, the decrease of the real income by somewhat 40 %. It is a school book example of what s going wrong when socialists are in power.

This documentasry is extremely fixed to glorify the american system, which is absurd since Rosa Luxemburg was a marxist red to the bone.
