blue is the colour is possibly the most genuinely depessing album i've ever heard...it really is...but it's a masterpiece of gloom, failure, negation and addictive solitude...heaton only sings three songs on the album...his voice is racked with pain and booze...a terribly sad record - but a deeply honest one....perhaps too honest by half.
Very well articulated uclrichard - dark like Tim Burton...surprised Paul never wrote musical scores for movies...I'm sure he could do it, and maybe that is yet to come.
Love this song. As one who grew up in Hull, I can't think of music that brings me warmer thoughts than the HM and BS. Saw them perform in LA a few years ago, one their last performances together. They were ace.
