This video is misnamed, it is definitely a song thrush! There are many sites where you can play bird songs e.g. rspb.org.uk or gardenbirds.co.uk - have a listen.
Dez, the thrush is identified precisely because it does repeat its song twice, thrice or 4 times. As poet Robert Browning wrote about the Song Thrush:
"That's the wise thrush; he sings each song twice over,
OK, Here's a conundrum for you...For the past few days (mid-may, Cheshire).....We have had a beautiful song in a neighboring tree. Just can't place it. Phonetically, (in part,at least).....It goes "birdee birdee birdie"...."Prettier prettier prettier"....then, there are also trills, etc. It seems to repeat phrases about 3 times, then goes to something else. VERY varied....Mid-szed bird, I think. Not a blackbird though. Songthrush??
Hi, I am no expert, But I understood that a Thrush never repeats itself, It does sound more like a Blackbird but ...hey.. I'm a fish merchant..nuff said.
Although we have both blackbird and thrush in New Zealand thanks to the 19th cent., Assimilation Society, they actually don't sound exactly like the English birds they're descended from. Nice to hear the woodpigeon as well.

The first fine careless rapture"

@fiddleup Song Thrushes are well known for their repeats usually 2-4 times. so it sounds likely.

this video's quite nice to have playing in the background whilst doing other things on the pc :) (I can't go out and find one for myself, it's 1am!)
Thanks for uploading!
