You can't do this in Oklahoma either! If caught, you'd be in a lot of trouble. You can't do this legally in L.A. either, hate to tell you. You can only move, hook-up to or enter the vehicle that is on your repossession paperwork. The laws state you can only repo in a peaceful manner. Touching another person's vehicle or vehicle you don't have a repo order on is breaking the law and not operating peaceful.
It may depend on your city/state laws. I repossess for a living too and can say 100% for certain this is illegal in Ohio. It's a first degree misdemeanor - unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Basically, if a car in your way isn't up for repo, you can't touch it in any way (legally speaking). Although, absent a video like this, good luck proving it in court beyond a reasonable doubt.
