MCA is equivalent to ME (Computer Science and Engineering)

MCA with B.Sc. (Computer Science) background is equivalent to ME (Computer Science and Engineering).

B.Sc. Computer Science (3 Yrs) + MCA (3 Yrs) = 6 Years.

BE Computer Science (4 Yrs) + ME (2Yrs) = 6 Years.

MCA and ME both are equal.

Companies giving equal priority to both MCA and ME.

Master of Computer Applications MCA and Master of Engineering ME, are treated Same for jobs and there is no difference in the competence ratings.

Please don't misguide others.

1.BCA,MCA, DCA, PGDCA are all useless courses.

2.They're not internationally recognized. These are only in India.

3.You still wont be called an ENGINEER.

4.You cannot pursue research at the Doctorate level.

5.The institutes offering such courses are not AICTE recognized which is required if you want a job abroad.

6.In all the above courses, CA stands for Computer Applications that means you apply the technology not create it.

I know you're an MCA and thats why want to rope in others into such a disastrous field.

B.A.L.L.B. and M.B.B.S. also have 5 year duration but no one can compare a Lawyer to a doctor. Duration doesn't matter, its the content and degree.By the way, what do you call a person who has done MCA or BCA? Even after MCA, you wont be an engineer and we, after our B.E./ B.Tech only will be called the Engineers.
