@legdned yeah he takes brakes for about a miniute between each streach! just try it and go for what your comfortable with and if the pain is too unberabul then do the stretches a bit softer and dont push yourself as much
@legdned it depends on how fast you want to gain flexibility on the avrage day ill stop and strech out for ten mins every other day, holding each stretch for ten secs but my brother will stretch out for half and hour to and hour, stretching out one thing for a min or two or three then moving to a diferant stretch and he will come up with differant stretches each time . another inportent thing is to push yourself each time. and if your realy aching let yourself recover each time (like a workout)
@legdned just stretch out regularly dude and push your stretches more each time like you do when your working out. my brother maintains that you will ache more if you stretch out fully for an hour than you would working out for an hour.
when im shadow boxing i find it hard to follow thought and spin back around with my kicks! has anyone got any tips for me to help with this or is the only answer practice? please help!!
good video, you have great form. I started kickboxing in 1997 at the age of 17. Now at the age of 30, I am the undisputed world youtube shadow box champion....check out my video
this info you post is extremely useful. I would like to make a request if you don't mind. If you're thinking about making another video like this could you make it on little tricks and tips that you used to become better? please add this video it would be greatly appreciated.
you make 1 same problem everytime you roundhouse kick, you drop your guard, anyone could com in with a jab or roundhouse t the face mate maybe you should redo the film, common mistake made by anyone
apperently you have never sparred or been in a fight because its just as hard too counter a attack as it is too hit and if you have maybe you need better sparring partners because a silly little thing like what you have stated or maybe you should see some mayweather videos or some michael kuhr fights
its impossible to completely guard your face when throwing the round kick, even the best thais dont do it since the arms help powere the kick by their pposing motion. What you can do is step at angle so your head is off centre and hard to hit with a counter punch.
You are one of the few guys on youtube who actually posts videos with useful information. The techniques and drills are very practical and effective. Great job!
Thanks a lot. We are in the post-production process of our 1st DVD which is in depth and detailed focusing on Roundhouses - for info or to sign up for our mailing list please go to powerhousekickboxing . com
5 stars. He mentions several important facets to shadowboxing, a tremendous tool if you will do it consistently. One of my instructors is a big believer in shadowboxing every day, if only for 20-25 minutes. I know it helped me.

@ 1:05 - blurry combo & suddenly a roundhouse kick slices through... don't let this guys humble demeanor fool you; he's strikes can hurt bad.

Great vid, but why are your elbows so separeted from the body? In a real combat you narrow them more or you keep them open as well? Thanks.

In addition to being ready when you miss the round kick you can follow with a spinning kick. That's just what I've heard.
