@ECW5320 this is SLIPKNOT, it's from the unreleased album (CROWS), look on google for SLIPKNOT CROWS ALBUM and go on wiki. That should give you some more info, they started making this album after M.F.K.R and it's when Corey joined the band. Recording date is about 1997. They then gave up with the album, I think this is because of band members going and new ones joining and stuff and didn't feel right with the album. They then made their self titled album and released it in 1999.

@CrusaderCF Stone sour is a good band musically. Corey and Jim have been with SS longer than they have been with slipknot. Corey is in his late 30's now so doing slipknot isn't very easy for him. His voice has gone through a lot of stress and has changed dramatically for him. stone sour is easier for him to sing. less screaming and more singing. what do you mean they don't have a unique style? Dude name one band with the style they have!

I would argue that this is Slipknot.

Corey tends to adopt a certain vocal persona when in "Slipknot-mode". He adds a touch of lunacy to his vocal mannerisms.

This is just based off of my observations. He could have been doing this in early Stone Sour recordings as well.

It's Project X, Corey Taylor and Josh Rand put this together after SK finished the Iowa tour cycle. Josh played guitar and bass and Dan Spain played Drums on it. It was never on a Slipknot or Stone Sour album of any time frame. Oh and one last thing, The song is called "Silent Type" not "All I Know" All I Know was a ballad.

ok im ending this arguement. This IS both stone souer and slipknot It was originaly written by corey taylor for the crowz which was basicly the slipknot we know today. Corey backed out of the band so crowz never released a demo a few years later slipknot dropped lars and brought corey back to the band. around 2000 corey looked back on the song and adopted it into the stone sour library. There no more bitching and moaning people !

How about I correct all of you? Honestly, Corey has been in the band 100% since he joined in 1997, after 'Mate Feed Kill Repeat' was released. This song is on Crowz, which was the 1997 Slipknot demo, that was never released. Anders was the original vocalist, and some of his vocals are on Crowz. How do I know? I've obtained hard copies of every one of their basement demos along with their official albums. Don't fucking argue with me. He wrote the song for Slipknot but it was never released.
