@doritos786 Yes, he's an excellent player to model yourself on I'd say. Today I'd probably pick Javier "Chicarito" Hernandez to try and emulate if I was a footballer and a forward. Like Owen he's a lethal goal poacher with that killer instinct. Always shows up right when and where you don't want him if you're the opposition. And something like that, positioning and awareness can be learned/improved on at any level (I would think) as opposed to someone like Messi who does things no one else can.
those players are good players, but not super players. there is only rooney who can have the same impact as owen has. I remember people calling owen finished in 2000, after a similar hamstring injury to now. he ended up being a better footballer in 2001 than in 1998. I don't expect things to be like in 2001, but he's proved this season that in big games he's there. even in the cup final before he came off, he was great, beating players with pace, good movement, a goal. he just needs the luck.
you never know with owen. this world cup is a write off which we won't win anyway. he's got all the time in the world to make a full recovery, and for united next season he could be magic. as for england, if it is over. he's been one of the very best we've ever had, and I thank him for everything. legend.
@heskeylator Indeed. It's like I said at the end of the video, I'd love him to prove me wrong. But it seems especially unlikely now, Bobby Zamora is making a case for himself, and the sheer volume of goals Bent is banging in can't be ignored, and the fact that he's doing it with Sunderland makes it even more impressive. Plus, now that Newcastle are back in the Premiership, Andy Carrol may make an impact. Owen is going to have a ton of competition.
@nickyukGnRfan Thanks. Never played MGS3 but I have 1+2. The music is from the game Grandia II. The first one is Despair and Hope, fitting name I think, and the second is Elegy. They can be found and downloaded on BluelagunaDOTnet if you want them.

Yeah I saw it, and liked what I saw. Although the defence looked frail, and we can't keep a clean sheet to save our lives, it looked like the England team got over the Terry situation before our eyes in that match. There were problems in the first half, but everything picked up in the second half and started to come together. It's eased a lot of the worry I had of it causing big problems with the squad. Still have to adjust to Rio as captain though.
As for Lampard, I can't really think of him doing anything that night, so i guess you're right. I don't think he did anything wrong, but didn't exactly impose himself on the game either, and he normally does make a mark somewhere.
what a wanker
