  • This is a very "warm" video. =p

  • This video went viral on Dhaka

  • A very early M.M. cartoon. As I said elsewhere, there is no set origin story. Here he gains super-powers by certain foods. Just like Captain Carrot, Captain Nice, Mr. Terrific, SuperMouse (special cheese)....

  • no men thank you very much

  • that pussy dumb.

  • Haha 5:35... anal beads.

  • I like Atom Ant better than Mighty Mouse.

Bugs, there are a number of reputable educational institutions specializing in the instruction of the English language, where you can learn to write, or at least master the essentials, you poor dumb illiterate.

  • the reason I'm a cartoonist.

  • MIGHTY MOUSE!! :D

  • this is like Tom & jerry

  • Mice riding birds. Who's been smoking dope again.

  • Can you or anyone else help me find the Mighty Mouse 'Spare the Rod' cartoon? ):

  • OMG asifffff this was made in 1942 :O I'm 19 and i remember having mighy mouse on video when I was a toodler. this was my favorite program ever!!!!

  • why did the animation get worse from this too the 1950s? was it them darn commies?

  • @akgah No, them damn congressmen. In 1948, they broke up the studio's theater monopolies, which led to the death of the theatrical short, and the dissolution of their animation departments. Quality slowly went downhill after 48 as cartoon budgets decreased and many animators went to greener pastures like TV advertising studios. Cartoons made for tv were all faster and cheaper, with fewer frames per second and cruder art by lower paid artists.

  • Man that was awesome. Thank you for reminding me of great memories. I loved MM, and watched him in the 60s. He was my favorite. Once again she11072, thank you soooooooooooo very much!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wow,Mighty Mouse has a Brooklyn accent, who knew? Interesting to see how the character design of MM changed over the years from how he first appeared as he does here. Same deal with Bugs Bunny too. MM battled both Frankenstein's Cat & Dr.Jekyll's Cat in 2 separate cartoons. They should have done a sequel where MM had to fight both of them together. Maybe even add Dracula's Cat to it too. What incredible animation these 'toons had & they are still dazzling to view to this day.

  • first time iv'e seen him in blue and red, cool.

  • the good old days..never got bored of mighty mouse cus he was awsome..i still have his vhs..miss watching them

  • I'm 18 now and i use to watch this show all the time when i was growing up on VHS.

  • OMG The cat looks very similar to one of the hobo cats in Pinochio.

  • Back in the old days, the kids mattered.

  • He was my first love.

  • Great to see - thanks for putting it up!

  • mighty Mouse from the Bronx?

  • Mighty Mouse was my hero when I was a kid in Mexico

  • i liked it it was awesome

  • i don't remember him with that voice - only the "here i come ......" song- still classic

  • love

  • Originally released in November 1942. Directed by Mannie Davis, story by John Foster, music by Philip A. Scheib. In TV reissue prints, all references to "Super Mouse" (in his 1942-'44 cartoons) were eliminated or re-dubbed.

  • This is better than the Hugh Jackman film, 'Van Helsing.'

  • @flapdoodle64 that movie was really corny...

  • This is was good cartoon!!!!!!!!!!!.

  • I couldn't beleive the date 1942. Thats when my dad was 1 yr old.

  • He was still called Super Mouse at this point. That's why his costume is mimicking Superman's. But you're right. He does look better with the yellow and red. It reminds me of my ideal comic book character, SUPERCAT. His costume's yellow and red but with slight differences.

  • If this is the case why at 4:12 and 6:00 does the narrator call the character "Mighty Mouse"??

  • The name Super Mouse was already taken by a comic book character, so to avoid any charges of plagerism, they say Mighty Mouse.

  • So then the characters name is Mighty Mouse at this stage! If they had have run with the name Super Mouse they would have had a lawsuit according to what u say. SO they didnt call him Super Mouse to avoid a lawsuit they called him Mighty Mouse. Again, even by your logic the character at this stage is known and refered to as Mighty Mouse!! Your confusing me boy

  • Sorry to confuse you, fellow citizen, but listen up! When this first originally aired, the audio dubed stated the name Super Mouse. It wasn't until afterwards the lawsuit threat came in and the name was changed to Mighty Mouse, which has since been used in all re-dubs. Hope that helped.

  • Roger That . I must just be a nuffa.

  • "Nuffa?" Never heard that word before.

  • Sorry Leo. Its Australian for person who doesn't think. lol

  • Oh, is it? I wouldn't have know. I am a diehard American. You don't happen to be an Aussie, do you? I have great respect for those people and all people around the world.

  • Ah, 1942! In the midst of WWII, it was terrific to see the rise of greats like Mighty Mouse!
