our exhaust system is a mixed of both. Honestly, keep the catalytic converter, use a resonator, use 2.5" MANDREL bends, not crush bent, and you will have a good exhaust.

believe it or not, the factory piping is only 2 1/4" =O .. i've heard 3" piping being used on N/A Maximas and give even better gains than a 2.5". But remember, its not always size but turbulence with exhausts.
Would have thought a 3" on an NA would have meant DRONE and massive low-end power loss...would have expected an NA 3.0 V6 or even the 35 to be best served by a catless mandrel-bend 2.25".

its an automagic my friend lol I did the DR mod, made a custom headlight air intake scoop to the stock airbox, custom grounding kit, and will soon put headers and y-pipe.
A drone is when the exhaust resonates at say 1800 - 2400rpm when you accelerate - it's like an organ pipe - sounds like a really deep and loud 'ORRRRRRR' and either side of that rpm range the drone dissapears...mine does it and I wondered if yours with the bigger pipe did too.
oh, you mean how the stock tip is saggy, well i took the stock tip and welded it to the flowmaster, at the same time i had the muffler guy push it up against the bumper as far up as he could, i also have the stillen rear lip so that probly makes it closer too.. just check out my cardomain.. just go to cardomain n search s1mply_v and you'll find my car and pics of the muffler from under the car, THANKS!

I have one problem now though, since the new wire harness uses only one of the headlgiht plugs for the relay, the fog light wont come on. I rewired them to go on with parking light only, but its still no good. Do you know what I could do about that?
yea my color is the stock Merlot, i love it :D but hey i like the Majestic Blue too. they have that deep blue but in the sun it looks amazing, like the Merlot too. :D yea i HAD the ebay projectors and was going to retrofit them but i have so many little things i wanna do to my car i just sold them and got stock 01 headlights, il AE them and stick HIDs and im done lol il move on to better things
and about your problem, you could try checking fuses, relays, and ground points and power connections you made with splices and stuff.. sorry if im not too big of a help.

what style of piping are you using. my brother had straight pipes on his altima. he has flows too. i go a se maxima from a neighbor and i want to know what style of piping is best straight piping or angled bent piping... hit me up soon.

our exhaust system is a mixed of both. Honestly, keep the catalytic converter, use a resonator, use 2.5" MANDREL bends, not crush bent, and you will have a good exhaust.

I want to know where you got those rims, what size tread you run on them, and whether or not it affects the speedometer.

The rims are off an '03 Nissan Murano. The tires i ran on them were 245/40/18's and it affected the speedo very slighty slower.
I cant get an in cabin demo now b/c i have done other modifications that changed the tone of the exhaust a bit.

He means, because the Maxima never came in a SE-R version, dont put the SE-R emblem on, otherwise it's just like putting a big fat aluminum spoiler on top of your factory spoiler, like a riced out asian ahaha.

Thanks, its not so clean now b/c people keep nicking it with thier doors, and backing into it and side swiping it, i swear i hate retarded RI drivers. I used a step drill to drill the hole on the CF hood, and the spot where i mounted the pin already had a pre-made hole on the radiator support.

believe it or not, the factory piping is only 2 1/4" =O .. i've heard 3" piping being used on N/A Maximas and give even better gains than a 2.5". But remember, its not always size but turbulence with exhausts.

Yea i did just cut it out, and painted the a/c condensor nice aluminum b/c over the years it showed dirty spots. In the video its kinda dark so thats maybe why it looks realy nice.

A drone is when the exhaust resonates at say 1800 - 2400rpm when you accelerate - it's like an organ pipe - sounds like a really deep and loud 'ORRRRRRR' and either side of that rpm range the drone dissapears...mine does it and I wondered if yours with the bigger pipe did too.

oh, you mean how the stock tip is saggy, well i took the stock tip and welded it to the flowmaster, at the same time i had the muffler guy push it up against the bumper as far up as he could, i also have the stillen rear lip so that probly makes it closer too.. just check out my cardomain.. just go to cardomain n search s1mply_v and you'll find my car and pics of the muffler from under the car, THANKS!

My bad, they're Ebay projectors.
I got the chrom ones, and added TSX projectors into those, you'll be very happy with the outcome.
I have one problem now though, since the new wire harness uses only one of the headlgiht plugs for the relay, the fog light wont come on. I rewired them to go on with parking light only, but its still no good. Do you know what I could do about that?

yea my color is the stock Merlot, i love it :D but hey i like the Majestic Blue too. they have that deep blue but in the sun it looks amazing, like the Merlot too. :D yea i HAD the ebay projectors and was going to retrofit them but i have so many little things i wanna do to my car i just sold them and got stock 01 headlights, il AE them and stick HIDs and im done lol il move on to better things
