Wow, some performance! This song was sent to radio stations in 1974, as trailer/promo for Slow Dazzle and to try to get John Cale a chart hit. It'd have been unlikely to get one with songs like Guts: "The bugger in the short sleeves fucked my wife/did it quick and split..."!!! Thanks for the post!

Cale is so good live. I know it's silly to compare, but he performs live a million times better than Reed does.

I think this is the first time I´ve seen Cale perform this song live. I´ve seen Cale more than 20x live, but maybe my memory is blurred after so many gigs.
