  • what's all the sadness about, they wanted to leave, so they did; no one invited them to colonize Romanian land in the first place

  • @paradanmellow but before 1945,romanian people live friendly with german people, stalin is the massmurderer

  • @kekedog are you romanian or german? do you know from experience?

  • @paradanmellow i am a chinese, but in my campus there are several german teachers who teaches german, and one of them's grandfather comes from Romania, and he is one of the ethnic germans in romania, and his wife is a romanian woman, and the teacher told me that germans and romanians lived friendly before 1945,and in fact, his grandfather have never been to germany before 1945,and he considered himself as a romanian rather than german, and his father even joins romanian army....

  • @kekedog I see, thanks for sharing! It's good to know people get along despite politics :)

  • The exodus of the nazis to a new leberstraum

  • I finished watching the video. I left my previous comment at the halfway point. It was actually more balanced than what I expected from the video's opening. Solid work by Deutsche Welle!

  • Ask yourself how many Romanians wanted to leave Communist Romania as well, but couldn't because there was no "West Romania" where they could go to?

Overall an interesting report, but slightly one-sided. I have no doubt West Germany also benefited from receiving highly-skilled and well-educated Transylvanian Saxons and Banat Schwabians. 6,000 euros for an engineer... quite a low price for a skilled worker.

  • Stupid, stupid Ceausescu

  • interesting report, thanks.
