Cuba to U.S.? From Cuba to Key West, which is the southernmost point in the continental U.S., I believe is 90 miles. 90 miles! There are so many things to contend with. Not just the marine creatures like sharks and jellies, but also strong currents and sudden, inclimate weather causing rough seas. Continuos contact with water no matter how warm can cause hypothermia. You can also get sunburn even though you're submerged. Especially on lips and face. Tough lady!
