  • I have one of these too...a great looking uke..it came with tenor strings as sold where I got it as a Tenor but able to take Baritone strings I switched strings..I think it's a good uke..always causes comment due to it's look as much as anything...haven't used it a lot at 'open mic's' etc as find it a bit quiet for that....nice review

  • I am waiting for one of these to be delivered so it's cool that you give it a good review .

Any idea if it will fit in a normal tenor gig bag ?

  • hi

Re the size of this instrument. Total length is 28 1/2 inches. Width at widest on body is 11 inches. Total body length of body is 13 inches. For those that do not use inches as we still do in th UK 1 metre = 39.37 inches

  • Hey man, I have a question about the baritone uke you have in your video.

I just bought one of these on ebay myself. I'm pretty satisfied with the looks of it, and the sound of it in your video. Oh, and I can't forget the price. It is incredibly cheap.

    I have one question though.

Did this come in the mail for lefty's? Or did you set it up for youself?

Thanks, also anything you don't like about this uke, was anything wrong with it? fret buzz?

  • Hi its a right handed uke . I play it upside down. Not sure if you can get lefties in this brand. The main problem with this instrument was that it had a very high action. I solved this by using a tiny file to deepen the grooves on the nut. Its playability as now improved dramatically. There are some good vids on how to do this on youtube. Finally I like this instrument because of its small size. Its very comfortable to hold. Downside is that the body joins the neck at the 12th fret. UKUKEMAN

  • thanks for responding. I am ready now to do the all of the moderations to this uke now.

I didn't get it yet, but i should get it tomorrow, or friday.

that does suck that it joins the body at the 12th fret, my other baritone joins the body at the 14th or maybe its the 15th, I'm not sure.

Are you tuning to gcea? it looks like you have a low c on there thats why I'm asking.

do you just like the re entrant tuning more than dgbe, or was the dgbe buzzy on the uke?

  • hi again. The uke is tuned to standard baritone / guitar tuning DGBE with the D being tuned low. Not re entrant tuning. The 12th fret issue is offset by its handy compact size which I think you will appreciate more when your instrument arrives.

  • it actually sounds pretty good for 30 bucks!
