  • WARNING: From Citizens Equal Rights Alliance (CERA) Fights Tribal Power Grab in Washington D.C.:

The National Congress of American Indians will be attempting to foist their Tribal Governance and Economic Enhancement Initiative on Congress this year. This initiative, if passed, would subject hundreds-of-thousands of non-Indians as well as non-member Indians to the civil and criminal jurisdiction of tribal governments who exclude non-Indians because of their race or heritage

  • Has anyone even considered what a hell WWII would have been for Hawai'i if we weren't part of the United States? We would have easily fallen to China, Japan, or Russia. And to call ha'ole "stupid" is only marking yourself as a racist bigot. That's not the kind of reputation we need to give our Hawaiian people. What the US did to Hawai'i was wrong. But deal with it. Words of hate won't fix anything; for them or for us.

  • I see hawaiians talk stink about USA , in line at starbucks, she opens her wallet , get 4 credit cards, one food stamp card , unreal , she has a nice SUV outside , get real !!

  • There's one main reason it shouldn't be done--It obviously doesn't benefit anyone. All we have to do is look at the natives on the mainland. Their whole reservation system should be eliminated, but show me a government agency that has outlived its usefulness and been shut down.

  • Eh hows abou this one.... haole go home! den we no mo problem. you fawkeen peopo come over to OUR land, imprison OUR queen, commit genocide on OUR people, wipe out OUR culture, language, way of life..Then u ILLEGALLY ANNEX Hawai'i and expect us to honor your consititution? The annexation of Hawai'i was ILLEGAL under american and International law. US Congress issued a statement saying as much in the 90's. But dey no like do noting. U want us to respect ur laws... but you urself don't follow dem.

  • I am totally wit you Brah!!

  • Hi Hopopp69 What's haole? I read the book "Hawaii" many years ago, so I have an idea what was done to Hawaiians & the Queen. I thought it stunk, also. The govt. here has been out of control for decades. They do what they want and don't listen to We The People. Every race has a right to their own Country and their own culture. I think the govt did these things to start race wars, so we'd kill each other off. "Depopulation." Then they could declare Marshall Law and throw us all in camps.

  • or we could be the native americans...shit poor and living in the fucking desert!

  • stop whining...shit...we get all the benefits of being American, freedom, payed holidays, and mickie D's...plus we get to enjoy those benefits in paradise. It's a win-win! Besides, it could've been worse...we could all be speaking french right now...lol

  • @anduloveit instead we were forced to speak english

  • everyone needs to stop being butt hurt and accept the fact that hawaii is a state....hawaiians are american....get the fuck over it and shut the fuck up

  • it's easy for you...you have no culture beyond mcdonalds and mini malls. you know nothing of what it means to be hawaiian. you probably don't even know your great-grandparents name. i can trace my ancestry to before there was an America. you shouldn't comment on what you know nothing about. I am not American, I will never be American...I am Hawai'ian!

  • i can name every single one of my great grandparents. i was born and raised in hawaii. i come from a multi racial family, including hawaiian. i personally am of 6 ethnic races and proud of every single one of them but at the end of the day i am still american and although this country as a whole is young and naive and selfish it doesnt change the fact of the opportunity here. so stop your bitching and moaning and go drown yourself...thank you have a good day

  • Amen, Tragic! I was also born and raised in Hawai'i. We are American, we chose, in the 1950's to remain American. Using the U.S. as the blame for people's problems will not solve those problems.

  • Exactly. And they never bring up the fact that Kamehameha did the same thing when he went to O'ahu. Even worse, he overthrew the island and then pushed them over a cliff. That sounds much worse than imprisoning the queen. How come they never bring THAT up?

  • Sweetpeamonta, it's spelled "Hawaiian", not "Hawai'ian". And you are an American of Hawaiian ethnicity, whether you want to believe it or not. Time to stop using the U.S. as the fault for all the problems, we as a state, are going through.

  • A thought provoking speech. You are right

Congress can never address the wrongs done.

End the illegal U.S. Occupation of Hawaii. International

Law has made provisions for this to happen. See

  • Nobody is up in arms about the sovreign nature of mainland tribes like the Seminole but claim neo-apartheid in the case of Hawaii. Politics and a neo-con agenda run amok? Perhapse...

  • Oh my gosh. This video is so misguided it's not even funny. There have been numerous refereda and the vast majority of Hawaiians supported similar legislation. Refer to the 9th circuit case of Doe v. Kamehameha for an in depth discussion. Tribes ARE federally organized. The errors are so numerous in this spoof of a video.

  • The current situation cannot support an argument like this one.

  • haha good reply man, very intellectual reply to mine, which might have had a few spelling errors, dont you know commas and periods dont mean good writing?

  • Here's strong medicine against the Akaka bill:

Book: Hawaiian Apartheid: Racial Separatism and Ethnic Nationalism in the Aloha State:

  • Many Hawaiians want to succeed from the United States altogether. It might be politically advantageous to let them do so because it would change congressional representations. The Democrats would lose two Senate seats and two House seats. The key to letting something like that go forward is to guarantee minority rights in the newly formed country and guarantee that Hawaii would be a neutral country without treaties with other countries.

  • No. That would be a bad idea.
