This is one of the best movies I have ever seen! Yes, it's long and it has its imperfections, but overall, it's great. Go see it. Don't listen to reviews that tell you otherwise.

I thought it was beautifully done. The scenic shots were incredible, and the effects were amazing. But above all, the music for this movie was absolutely spectacular. True, it's got a lot of chick-flik appeal, but I don't care much for chick-fliks, and I loved every minute of this movie.

I agree. As an Australian it's impossible to stomach. Made for America that's for sure - with all the "crikeys" I'm suprised the ghost of Steve Irwin didn't pop up to battle the Japanese invasion. I know Baz Lurhman likes his "Gone With The Wind" feel but this felt like it was made in the 1980s - it's waaaaay too cliched. Terrible CGI as well. It's also too hard to stop looking at Nicole Kidman's forehead hoping to see some flicker of movement - but it never happens (should have used CGI).
A few years ago, two parents went out for dinner. A few hours later, the babysitter was calling to ask if she could cover up the clown statue in the kids' room, the father said,"Take the kids and get out of the house. We'll call the police, we don't have a clown statue." The "clown statue" is really a killer that escaped from jail. This man is completely wrong...and probably jealous as hell of Hugh Jackman. The movie Australia is absolutly wonderful. I just got back from seeing it and can't wait to see it again...it's the best movie you've ever seen. Go see it for yourself my friends, you'll be happy you did.

"Welcum tuh Awstraylia" with all the one liners I was half expecting Mick Dundee to come strolling out of the scrub with a fucken banjo..PLEASE!! This piece of low brow will mainly appeal to the down blunder crowd who keep calling it a masterpiece...Titanic and Lord of the rings are masterpieces.Man whoever wrote this predictable script must of been taking a dump while singing "Over the rainbow"
He probably wouldn't like Lawrence of Arabia or Gone With The Wind either. Well, looking at him, he's probably suffering from a big case of jealousy....and he can barely speak coherently on the video so I wouldn't put much stock in his opinion!
Reviews are overrated I think. I really enjoyed this film.
