  • And then he enabled the diff locks on the cruiser.

  • 0:52......... AWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Ewan's wife is a dog

  • @adelaney594 She's actually rather stunning. I'm guessing you're jealous. N'aw

  • they should haeve made at home a bar to unite the bikes firmly by the frame, one meter wide and than the bikes wouldn't fall down in this terrain...

  • They never seem to lock the 4x4, if they did and just gunned it they'd get almost all the way across in one shot.

  • "Put the dog down Jimmy"

    LMAO XD

  • Ewan should probably get a second wife..

  • I'm really liking my sub-300 pound Honda XR600R right now.

  • Very enjoyable series ('round and this 'down one.)

Of course, from the comfy chair in front of the tele, it's easy to see the "right way" but now at this "chapter" they're showing zero knowledge or preparation ... low tire pressures for sand, traction ladders go under the tires for deep mud and a land anchor to winch forward through rivers. Surely they should have learned all these techniques during the Long Way Round experience.

As noted, they need ARB diff lockers front, centre and rear.

  • That's how it is, Claudio really is our (I mean everyone who watches this series) window to all of this.

  • great spirit, inspirational

  • no mud tyres for the 4wds?

  • Did anyone ever count how many times charley says "Fuck" in one episode or in the whole show?! :D I'd like to know it.

  • that really really fine dust must have been painful to get through

  • that was really smart to walk the bikes across rather than spin the tires in the mud.

  • wow 3:40 its really like "sand-water"

  • BMW Power ftw! :D

  • Oh my goodness, Jimmy and the puppy are adorable :D

  • At 6:11 the armed guard running to help, I know he's doing his job but still, he's a nice helpful guy. I love that bit :-)

  • i would like to ride across the world in a lawn mower.. that would be sick!

  • I don't know why, but I just LOVE Russ (:

  • I love how happy they all seem! Why can't we have that kind of happiness in the western world?

  • They need the Jeremy Clarkson 4x4 technique ....POWWWEEEERRR!!!

  • when was carl williams working as a medic?

  • Ah,and the continuous repeating how much you people hate Eve can't change much, I'm afraid. It may somehow affect the Magregor's family. But it was not a typical Hollywood production created by some producers, where all actors had to be adored by people. The idea came up from the very actors who wanted to have a souvenir.

All that doesn't mean I consider sensible what Eve has decided to do

  • EllysaE, the point is, Eve isn't doing it for the world but for herself. So do Ewan and Charley. Filming, the crew and other stuff are things that came by the way.

  • in the mud, why dont they (trucks) use a ground winch?

  • they have to get one truck across to winch

  • youve obviously never heard of a ground winch then have you.

read my post before making a comment.

  • @wolfyys its a river for a god sake! dry river no way round

  • At 6:11 the armed gaurd is so bloody helpfull. He sprinted over to grab the bike, what a nice guy.

  • he is being paid to do that

  • I know? What was the point in that comment?

  • what is that car? nissan xtrail? damn! that car is the toughest off roader in the world.

  • what about the Toyota hilux??

  • which ever it may be, if it can survive this African nightmare it should be the toughest off roader in the world.

  • Whatever!?! Hummer H1 is the Toughest Off Roader I've ever tested. I used to work for Petersons Off Road magazine testing 4x4s for a living. Did you know in the late 80's Camel tobacco supported a group of Range Rover on a trip around the world too. And they did the Amazon Basin, YIKES!

  • there is a misunderstanding. i am not comparing different off roader and i know hummer h1 is a very good off roader but to be honest it's really bulky and ugly.i believe in recent times the land rover range rover is the best off roader vehicle in the world. not only u can use it to climb up mountains but also can be used as a fashion statement and of course comfort, style feature personified. it like a rolls royce ghost. i just wanted to know which car they are using on that show?

  • @gyaanfreak no its nissan patrol and the guard car is land cruiser from toyota

  • Long Way Round and this series made me hooked on travelling. Thanks guys!

  • 8:00 that is the reason why we need hovering/flying cars so we don't have to deal with that stuff

  • gosh, im an optimist when it comes to people, but without the swaying power of those cameras this trip would've been very different

  • What a great series. Thanks for posting!

  • claudios the man but u dont see enough of him. hate ewens wife.

  • Bloody Hell -- The cars don't have lockers front or rear? NOT good, lack of foresight. Odd for such an otherwise well-planned, even overplanned adventure. Or 8-10 ft sections of aluminum ramps to make 40-ft tracks like Darien Gap expeditions use. Food for thought for others thinking of similiar trips.

  • thanks for post

  • i'm surprised how they don't have an automatic rope in front of the car.. is it banned in countries they pass?

  • they do, they pulled over the last car with a winch

  • poor claudio. he doesnt get enough credit, methinks

  • Claudio is awesome.

  • what a cute puppy! ^_^

    mud!! mud!! mud!!

  • Great video, nice journey and two cool guys...

  • wow those bikes look heavy!

  • they are, 800 pound bikes, if your traveling alone and you fall over, try and pick it up by yourself haha

  • i got a 600 pound katana and that thing is a beast to pick up, but if you do it right, it can be a one man job. But, i imagine the 3 years of weight lifting do come into advantage. lol

  • Yeah, i'm in the Army and the training there is better then 3 years of weightlifting to be honest. I was really skinny when I joined the Army as a private, and now im a Captain and in the 8 years i've served so far I came from really skinny to being able to benchpress 350 pounds 3 times mostly

  • Ah cool, I did some time the Army National guard myself. But yeah with picking a bike up, the trick is to squat next to pick and kinda walk the bike up while your propped on the seat. Its more legs muscle if your do it right. Ive droped my bike twice, first time, i was hurt pretty bad so i couldent pick it up myself, they second though, i was so pissed i dropped it, and tore a brand new pair of ACU trousers that i damn near one armed it lol.

  • i guess anger gives you a boost of adrenaline giving you superhuman strength lol, fear does thesame for me, sometimes, i run away most of the times in my tours in Iraq

  • lol

  • u havnt got any from when their in malawi have u?

  • That's where Eve rode along. The world doesn't care to see her.

  • Lol! Harsh...

  • agreed, i love ollie but i really hate ewans wife
