fracking awsome. the gaijins did a good job , not great job of morphing Macross into Robotech. The speech actors were great in both languages. Being both a japanese and english speakers, I think some of the english passages even surpasses the japanese originals. Kudos to both sets of producers!

When I was a child 3-4 years old we lived in a war time in Bosnia. No toys, no playgrounds and other things that today children have. Just real bombs, rifles, and guns. We had electricity for a few hours every day, and in 9 o'clock in a morning after news our local TV station put one episode of Robotech and one episode of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I can't believe after 15 years I watch this cartoon again and I enjoy it in a same way just like when I was a child. LOVE ROBOTECH!!!!!!

Hey guys, I'm sure nobody really cares but me but when the SDF-1 comes landing after defeating Dolza, I KNOW for a fact that Minmei's song "To Be In Love" was being broadcast instead of "We Will Win" when Rick and Lisa begin to hear it. During the battle it was "We Will Win" but when the ship was landing it was "To Be In Love." I'm 100% positive. Umm is this some different release? And where can I find the original version. I agree with yngtxtopbear.... Whether you like to admit it or not 'Robotech' put japanimation on the western hemisphere map. If it wasn't for Robotech most of you wouldn't even know about the wonder that is japanese animation... Harmony gold saw a good thing and adapted it for a western audience... why is that a bad thing?

You die hard Macross fans should enjoy the Macross series as it was intended and let us ROBOTECH fans enjoy the reworked series that was made. I just found out that Robotech is going to be made into a movie and am searching youtube for Robotech vids. When I was a kid, this cartoon was the best cartoon hands down. To this day, I don't think there has ever been a cartoon as good as Robotech. The entire battle scene was so epic for its day. I can't wait to see this in the movie theaters.

well.. toonami wasn't around when i first saw this series. hell there wasn't even cartoon network during that time. it was released in my country around late 80's to early 90's

but yeah this is what got me into animes too

Imagine the Spartans being giants with nothing in their minds except death, victory, and destruction, that is the Zentradi. Oh yeah, I forgot the high tech weaponry that they were taught to use but not repair.

So a love song or any song that stirs their well hidden emotions would give them quite a headache, figuratively and literally.
