YOU ASS THE GORILLAZ R THE BEST BAND ON EAETH...HOW DARE YOU SAY THAT THEY ARE NOT....AND THE ANIMATION IS SUPPOSED TO LOOK LIKE THAT...plus my name....Im noodle the little japanese gutar player in the band....how dare you say im fugly...TT^TT
I was very surprised when I listened to the second song in the appendix CD of a magazine. I'm sure it's really difficult to conduct her to sing in this way, which needs complicated parameter-editing for each notes.
I guess it's a bit difficult to get the disc (precisely, not a CD but a DVD-ROM) now, which was included in the Nov. 2007 issue of a Japanese magazine named "DTM (Desktop Music) Magazine," whose main target is Japanese computer musicians. I'm sorry to say this, but it was sold out much more quickly than other issues because the disc had not only these sample songs but also a period-limited trial edition of Hatune Miku, the vocal synthesizer.
Yes. For instance, you can find the issue on Yahoo Japan. Some quick and greedy people run to book shops when the publisher said the magazine was sold out within only three days and didn't have a plan to reprint.
Possibly, this is just my guess, the publisher would put the trial version of Miku and the sample songs again in a coming issue or other book, possibly in one or two months. (They hinted they were planning to publish a tutorial book for Miku now.)
well she's like gorillaz in someway..but different... in the case of gorillaz there's actually someone(s) singing behind those cartoon figures but for hatsune miku is a seiyuu speaking all the japanese letters in different tunes and the user(s) use those "pieces of voice" to 'make' whatever song they want to like a puzzle
Wow, I don't know what I was thinking when I replied with that. Maybe I couldn't read or something. Anyway, I'm a huge fan of the Gorillaz, they're british by the way, and I don't find their character design ugly at all. But when they first appeared on the scene, I had no clue that Noodle was a girl. Since Demon Days she's grown taller and really turned into a delicious loli.
I figure it worked by using a huge library of sound bites and doing some tone processing.
I wonder if they were inspired by an episode of knightridder where Kitt made a recording of someone saying something from existing sounds clips using sounds of the individual letters.
As a kid I had the great great grandfather of this program that ran on the ti99/4a called ti sings it worked by reprogramming the hardware speech synth's tone and inflection and yes it sounded really funny.
;w; Beautiful.. We can see how much things have changed!
Append Dark and Soft :3 ;w; But still Original Miku rocks!

Why is this negatived? There's nothing negative about it...
Or do you guys just negative stuff when you can't understand it? If so that's really retarded.
As far as I can tell all that was being said was that technology is amazing.

DTMマガジンの付録CDで聞いたときにもかなり驚いたのですが、2番目の歌は、ひとつひとつの音符のパラメータをかなり入念に調整しないと、こういう雰囲気は作れないと思います。

I see.... so I guess you can't exactly get it anywhere now unless someone sells it online?
