Yes.I was lucky enough to see Rafa and Marat on the practice courts on the first tuesday.I didn't get there early enough to see anyone practice on the show courts. But, I will keep that in mind for next year.Thanks.Great posts.
I saw Rafa practicing on Arthur Ashe last Sunday before his match against Almagro. I was so looking forward to his match that day and was lucky enough to see him practice before Serena started her match! Go Rafa!
I'm not sure about that xero. What you said may be true, but if there is anybody that could achieve a 'comeback', it's Rafa. This guys drove Roger nuts the way nobody else can.
Except all that amazingness won't be up to par, and will only be "above average" since his legs have taken a huge pounding. Sure, maybe he'll have a few more grand slams, but they might only come from clay since it's much softer. I wish him the best of luck, but no doubt, Fed is still the legend, but Nadal "was" better.
Thats soo coolz that you were able to watch him practice!! How in the world were you able to watch him practice??? Did you need tickets??? How did you know he would be there, was it just luck and did he sign autographs after??? Cool videoo.
Wasn't luck. During the week up to the US Open anybody can go into the usta grounds for free and watch the players practice. The only place you can't go in is Arthur Ashe stadium. So if Roger or Rafa are practicing there then you can't see them. The big players usually practice in Louis Armstrong or Grand Stand stadium, but you are free to walk around and see who is practicing else where.
Seems that Rafa was having prob. with his wrist and blisters on fingers. Did it look that way too you as well? How was his return of serve and backhand, both are awful since his return?
who was his hitting partner

Nadal was never better. At his prime, Roger was perfect. Nadal is barely able to beat Roger now, when he is nearing the end of his career.

philipp kohlschreiber.
I appologies for the bad quality but I hadn't intended on filming and all I had on me was my wife's canon sd 1000.
