The sad thing is that Tim Gaines never played on the studio albums. This came from a friend who use to know Mike and Oz. I'm not really sure what the real reasons were, but it is true. They used a studio bassist for the records. It's so ironic Mike once said they always wanted Tim in the band (after they saw him in the band Stormer). This statement is on their documentary video In The Beginning!

The guys spent a LOT of time signing autographs, having pictures taken and even spent more time sharing Christs teachings to anyone who wanted to receive it. Those, my friend, are the facts. The other quote was obviously from someone perpetuating a lie.

It's definitely live. It's the first song they played on the set list, this way his voice was fresh and he could hit the notes early on. In the later songs during this show you can hear his voice getting tired but it's still powerful, incredible vocalist.

Wow. What a voice! The mix is not perfect, but this is live Rock and Roll! I know they used pre-recorded vocals to augment... but they are all still singing, and Michael's lines are 100% live. Who can hit that note? Who? Awesome stuff because of the talent and message here.

I agree. Unbelievable! Michael Sweet gives an AMAZING vocal AND guitar performance in this! He truly is the real deal, as an artist and as a person. IMO he's the original heavy metal evangelist and I thank God for him (and the rest of Stryper). Michael's most recent CD consists of rearranged hymns and is quite beautiful. There's no screaming in it though. Still the same Michael but getting older like the rest of us. In his younger years he was one of the best screamers ever!
