Since people asked... This jeep just ran 9.5 on the track this weekend. Just saw it on Saturday. Watching you guys try and figure out electronicly controlled vehicles utilizing mechanical thinking is like trying to watch a monkey ##k a football. Nice build Brian & Steve. I also like the multi-piece brake rotors on there.

funny, when I put my trans in 2nd gear, it still starts in first gear.....just doesnt go past 2nd gear......there is no way to start in second gear........

@glareofspace - Maybe it can start off in 1st. In my 550i BMW, in Steptronic mode (s+/-), I can manually switch from the default starting gear, which is 3rd, to 2nd, or 1st, while sitting stationary...and you can feel, and see in the instrument cluster, that the car has changed gears while stationary. In manual/sport mode, I can literally take off in any gear from 1st to 4th...not 1st limited to the gear I have selected manually. BTW, thats if the SRT8 has an automanual.

@m018264808888 ya it does have the auto/manual, and it will show a digital number on the dash, but if you see the number 2 on the dash, you still start in first, but dont go higher than 2nd. no matter what number you see on the dash you will always start off in first, just not go higher than the gear showing on the dash. this guy claims to start off in 2nd gear for his burnout, but its not possible......
