Last D&D book I read was way back and I'm pretty sure that Drizzt D'Urden killed Artemis Entreri no? Is Jarlaxle and assassin too? I don't know how anybody could feel safe around Artemis with their backs turned. I would say his D&D alignment is definitely Chaotic Evil.

Ok, Entreri is my favorite character, but let's be honest.. Look at how he's displayed in drawings and painting versus what Salvatore wrote. What do people from Memnon and Calimport look like? Artemis Entreri is an Arab. He is NOT white. He is described as having dark brown skin from a desert population, with jet black hair. When I see "hollywood casting' ideas with a bunch of crackers, I just feel we're being dishonest.

@laketahoethebest The only real problem with people making a movie out of a book: if you've read the books at some point, and created an opinion, then you have to deal with the screen-writers vision of the same story. As not all people have the same opinion on a story, it can turn out quite irritating - For instance, when I think of Drizzt, I think of a purple skinned Dark Elf, with purple eyes, who wields an Ice scimitar and another scimitar, however other would say he's pure black skinned.

Well first, THis is the only time I'm going to say this but Artemis was a fool to leave Jarlaxle, I mean Where do you think your going to go. You were an assassin for like your entire life you can't think you can just live a calm life without having someone coming after him, If you asked me they sorta rushed the sellsword trilogy and I havnt gone any farther than the sellsword so I dont know what happened to him or jarlaxle OR Athrogate. and Drizzt is a jerk.

Dragon Force was the first Power Metal band I listened to. It brings me memories of the books too. My parents don't allow metal in my house I dare say my choices are limited to when I listen to things. I listen too lots more though, like Gamma Ray, Helloween, Savatage, DragonLand, Blind Guardian, Iced Earth, Demons and Wizards, Freedom Call and more but those are just my favorites : )

Close: Matron Baenre TRIED to sacrifice him, but the Matron Mother of House Oblodra protected Jarlaxle with a kinetic barrier absorbing the dagger's energy. The secondboy then tried, or touched the barrier in some way releasing the energy killing him, thus making Jarlaxle secondboy by default.

that would be true if DnD and FR had different races of humans, but the races that are reconized are pretty much elfs, humans, halflings, dwarfs, drow and such. and the look was pretty much created by Todd Lockwood cover artist for most of Salvatore's books
