@0x51d I know you are a PC owner. But on my MacBook it is different. The files I create sound exactly the same as my records are playing through the speakers. Are you sure changing the needle might help? Cause if it would, I won't have to buy a new turntable.
@Elisabeth1903: This is a matter of how YouTube convert the videos & not my recording settings (which are set to the maximum already) but thanks anyway.
@Elisabeth1903: The sound is recorded directly from my turntable together with the image to a .wmv, the degrading of the sound & video quality happens when YouTube reconverts the video after uploading.

@NotOrdinaryInGames: It's more about what stylus & needle you use, but most importantly not use the computer's onboard sound card.

@0x51d Within the soundcard there are settings to select ' ' 2 channels stereo, cd quality'! (Vista) It's just hard to find.

@0x51d ?? Just convert to mp3; YT doesn't change anything about that! You should keep your original settings in your wav on your computer.
