  • I swear I wanted to kill this cameraman running around this guy!

  • is that 50 kg or 50 pounds? because actually i'm 17 and i lift 70 pounds 10 times for dumbbell shoulder press

  • @sandtheman89

50lbs he cant do 50 kg and still talk to the camera that is impossible even for me ^__^

  • @sandtheman89 hes just showing how to do it, he isnt actually doing a workout. no need to get his normal workout weight

  • @sandtheman89 You must be very strong or cheating.

  • Put a shirt on, you look like a douche

  • @Draedon Why would he? Shirts off because you get motivated by his body + he shows which muscles are being worked. Get the fuck off his video if you cant handle a human off-shirt body. Fucking tool

  • @930102al I bet you're a shirtless douche too lol.

  • @Draedon wow thats you're comeback to him im lmfao. you sound so fucking stupid and you're calling them douches.

  • Comment removed

  • @Draedon whats wrong why'd you remove your comment? realize how stupid you sound?

  • @SomethinDwnUrPantss LOL! No I just didnt want to waste any more time on a retarded fag like you. Its obvious you have an extra chromosome.

  • @Draedon exactly what i wanted to say to you.

  • @Draedon He looks jacked, jealous much?

  • I've seen some folks that press the dumbbells only half way up. Is there a benefit to that or should you extend your arms all the way up?

  • @nico3641 watch his recent military press video - go all the way up

  • @nico3641 If you go through the full ROM all the way up the workload is shifting onto your triceps. If you want to keep it on the shoulders go up half way without extending your arms fully and in over your head. Thats what Dorian Yates 6x Mr O advises.

  • Cool tip man, I`ve trained for years and learned the correct way to DB press but got into the bad habit of not having the DB slightly forward on the way down, thanks for reminding me.

  • hahaha funny shit only give a GUIDE on something if you know how to do it yourself.

  • @ScottHermanFitness will this help strengthen my shoulders? i tore my labrum is both of mine and im trying to help strengthen the tendons and build muscle before i go in the military

  • Thats not neutral spine lol

  • Comment removed

  • You said keep neutral spine, then bend yours, contradict youself much

  • @ydorb99 it's not bending, it's called stabilizing your lordosis lumbalis which happens to be the natural form of the human spine

  • Perfect teeth

    Perfect Body

    Perfect voice

Something has to be bad downstairs then.

  • tttsssshh!!!!

  • im straight whats this?

  • @itzeyadig whos determining if its gay? a person thats gay or a confused individual? its all a matter of cleanliness and personal hygiene.

  • @itzeyadig ill tell you whats gay, its you noticing all of that shit

  • creep smile

  • good instructional vid man; TIL that I had been doing these wrong, put too much stress on the rotator cuff, thanks

  • My right rotating cup is uncomfortable when i reach back trying stretch my chest...if i start proper form is it possible for it to go back normal?

  • I'm skinny, what's this?

  • i'm introducing to you: the brand new ScottHerman Blow-off valve .. TSCH

  • is there a way to make my veins on my bicep pop out like his? on my biceps i can see like, just the blueish color of the vein beneth my skin. but it wont pop out.. is it like a matter of bodyfat% or..?

  • @Insecure101 That and its combined with bloodflow.. If you're are working out you're blood flow increases and makes your veins pop out more..also there are supplements that allow for more bloodflow to give your body more oxygen so you can max out a workout

  • very nice body gongrats

  • Is it better to lift the dumbbell one at a time (left arm then right arm), or together so that you lift the dumbbells in your left and right hand at the same time?

  • At 1:31 his head looks like his head is fake

  • Dude, buy a shirt

  • @weepaul666 Dude, lose the jealousy

  • @weepaul666 Dude, scott is sponsored, see it as live commercial+its easyer to show proper form with shirt off.Or is a guy with naked upper body making u blush?

  • thank u scott

  • hes like the dog whisperer.

  • I can't stand the tsch sound to the point where I will no longer watch any more of his videos starting now

  • @pcb815 ahahahahahhahahahahahhahaha xDDD

  • 1:01 "keep your back against the seat" but your lower back is pushing out from the seat?

  • does he shave his entire body or did the muscles just push the hair out?

  • I assume they were 50pounds not Kg? Because your in great shape but your shoulders don't look strong enough to do 50kg with that much ease while talking as well! Good vid though...

  • @BoxingProgressionTWS He's in America so the weights in pounds.

  • @BoxingProgressionTWS they are definately 50lbs not kgs. 50 Kg dumbells are over twice as large in size (unless they really are 50kg dumbells made of a new, super dense material).

  • @Keldorn87 yeah 50 kg is like 100 something

  • WTF. So ive been doing it wrong all the time? I havent had the shoulders in a line with my hips...

  • 1:31 i like how he says: thats not good! ;D

  • He's saying go 90 degrees when you come down, but that's no where near 90 degrees.

  • @RcKis0 do you know what 90 degrees is? that is definitely 90

  • @RcKis0 dude are you dumb

  • @RcKis0 90 degrees is directly up/down...

  • @eviltube1111 That is 180 degrees bud, L < that is a 90 degree angle. He goes slightly past 90 degrees put not a significant amount in this video.

  • this guy is so fucking annoying. dude get a shirt on and stop making those noises when you bring the dumbells up. Nobody does that and it doesnt help anything. You dont have to make the noise, i did it when i was a newbeginner but i thought it was annoying when i heard some other new do it. So i stopped that day.. You can make a sound if you are pushing hard and use all your strength to get the weight up. But not in the first few reps srsly. it gets very annoying!!!

  • @dresen10 the noises when he breaths out are so annoying aint it

  • compound movements is the way to go...

  • is he having a boner?

  • he aint got shoulder dawg wtf

  • people are dumb, right when he is showing how not to do it people start saying he is doing it wrong lol

  • how to tshhhhhhhhhh tshhhhhhhhh

  • this is great for light weight but once you lift a bit more you cant go below 90 degrees

  • @greatkeyboardwarrior says the great keyboard warrior... I'm sure anyone pressing over 60lbs knows proper form

  • @Thrashvel lol no my point being, with more weight once you go below 90* you overload your rear delts. if you think im talking trash. chuck on 20% more weight and do your form, then get back to me ;)

  • I don't know where he learned his maths, but that isn't a 90* degree angle

  • @rutgersmid giver or take 90 degree angle, looks pretty obvious to me, maybe you should get your protractor out and measure...

  • tsssss tsssssssssss

  • if you french frie when ur supposed to pizza...... ur gunna have a bad time lol

  • tsch

  • @bkob65 lmfao

  • yeah but keep on training your shoulders are shit!!!

  • I have a question why the fuck wouldn't you do it standing

  • @iAusMatt it's easier to clear heavy dumbells from the ground when sitting

  • @AcidDKtheone Then you lift one dumbbell up with both hands and do it unilaterally

  • @iAusMatt, it doesn't put as much pressure on the back when you're sitting. Also you eliminate a lot of other muscles you could use for ''cheating'' on those last reps like your back and your legs. If you wanna incorporate more muscles into the exercise then I think standing would be better, but this way it isolates the shoulders a bit more.

  • @spyrde1 If you stand up straight with a tight 'core' and lower back there will be no strain. Resisting 'pressure' is how the lower back develops. Cheating is down to the individual. Isolation has little to no strength benefits.

  • @iAusMatt, everything you said is true, but I still prefer the bench for all the reasons I already said. I find my back arching a lot when I work with heavy weights and do the movement standing. I also find it targets my shoulders much better when sitting, and even if it has no strength benefits it still hits the target muscle better. While sitting cheating becomes way harder, for me at least, because it takes away the legs, chest and the back if you're doing the movement with proper form.

  • @iAusMatt I reckon it's a question of function vs aesthetics! Try researching functions of the lower back like Transverse Abdominus function, Thoraco Lumbar Fascia gain and Hydraulic Amplifier Mechanisms as they apply to the human body and exercise.

  • @2patero Primary focus on aesthetics is for the weak, IMO. I may give it a read.

  • @iAusMatt All depends on what you want I suppose. Some guy's want the look, some guys want pure functional strength and power applicable to their chosen work or sport. I've seen a clip on youtube of a Japanese guy who is skinny as a rake but can out lift a lot of these guys (neural adaptation vs cellular adaptation). Oh and the japanese guy wasn't a power or olympic lifter! Each to their own!

  • im fat whats this?

  • @thejanitorssuccess hahaha you bastard thats funny :D

  • i wish i can have him as my personal trainer, I will get motivated to do more workouts lul

  • i like scott herman he gives good info but i see him use bad form alot

  • LOL I can only do 25 with proper form, so weak.

  • @LostFaceify That's actually okay man. Don't be demotivated because of it :-)

  • @LostFaceify We all start somewhere.

  • 50 lbs on each arm..!!

  • @pewy3 yeah...deltoid muscles are pretty strong

  • @pewy3 lol thats nothing haha prolly a warm up for him he can prolly do 70 to 80 max im sure

  • 90 degrees up chi..............

  • is that 50lbs or 50 kg on each arm?

  • @iJafa 50 lbs LOL

    50 kg is super bulky.

Plus one would not seem as comfortable with 50kg above your head.

  • you should be totally up right. don't even bother back support. otherwise you could be working our your chest.

  • The veins on his arms look like they wanna pop! D:

  • hes weird

  • big arms little legs

  • 2 much sixpack and a way to little boobs :D

  • 0:38 UGGGHGHGHGHGH

  • kurwa mać

  • ching chong

  • What is the advantage of doing dumbbell military presss as opposed to barbell military press?

  • @sinfuldavy0 There is no advantage in either one. The point is to keep a change in your routine to promote muscle adaption and continually work new muscle fibers

  • ШОТО ПРО ДЕМБЕЛЬ......ГОД КАКОЙ?

  • so its required to have your shirt off while doing this, right?

  • @GoodQualityHere lol not complaining, best way to learn proper form ;)

  • cameraman's an idiot

  • i can hear some air escaping

  • On InstructionalFitness the guy said to not go all the way up because the weight is travelling into your triceps.

  • proper form would mean lower back against the back rest. derp

  • Comment removed

  • i can see the weights too heavy fore ya,............bro.

  • do you even lift brah

  • Hey anyone, could someone please explain to me if its better to use a weight that you can have controlled reps(10-12 reps) or is it better to do a weight that you can only do for a few reps(5-8 reps) I just decided to start dumbbell exercises this year.

  • @filthygerman027 hey its best to keep a weight where u can do 8-10 reps. its perfect amt of reps until u start to plateau, but till then u'll know so much and doing other exercises like burn sets. when doing em make sure u increase the weight u lift because u get stronger too. but 8-10 has worked for me and my friends it s good

  • @filthygerman027 depends on what you want to gain, more reps with a smaller weight is better for toning muscle, where as less reps with a larger weight will make you gain more muscle

  • @TheFlyingMole01 that's bs bro.

  • @TheFlyingMole01 Fucking broscience at its finest..

  • whats wrong with his teeth? hes talking kinda strange!

  • TCHHHH

  • if you sit while on a exercise ball while doing it, will it increase your balance?

  • i wish it was socially excepted to take you shirt off in a gym because it gives you more incite on your form and your gains. watching your targeted muscle react to your work out. know what i mean.

  • I took my shirt off at the gym today, cleaned the bench after using and they told me I had to put a shirt on! They must be afraid of the male body!

  • I think you all need to get over yourselves, taking your shirt off has advantages in the gym, heat dissipation, less restriction on movement and being able to see yourself in a mirror doing the workout and seeing the muscles work is good for people who have bad CNS control. So really, shut up and if you don't like it go to planet fitness and join the herd of retards.

  • I give up ,next time I work out I'm taking my shirt off. Narcissism is rampant amongst our male youth. How many times can can the guy next to me at the gym look in the mirror? It seems to be an excepted behavior nowadays.I'm going to post nude pictures of me on facebook, maybe I'll get famous!!

  • @tigeroak lol taking the shirt off has nothing to do with narcissism

  • @ulkord If you are constantly taking it off it has everything to do with narcissism. I ask you to look at the previous members profile (SsyOu) if thats not narcissism then what is? Doesn't the guy from Jersey Shore suffer from vanity? I have no problem with a guy taking his shirt off for a practical reason but when hes taking it off to show off it gets embarrassing for everyone.

  • @tigeroak dont you think a little bit narcissism is actually good? youre more self confident

  • @ulkord Did you look at SsyOu profile??? Confidence and narcissism are 2 different things. . I think wespoling put it best. It is not socially excepted, why? Because young males walk around thinking they are gods gift to the world. I am wrecking the true meaning of this video which is proper form when working out,my apologies to all. As an older male who has been working out for 27 years my advice would be not to let it get to your head and avoid steroids!!

  • @tigeroak but why would a TRUE narcissist use steroids? doesnt that make him "less" of an absolutely amazing man? wouldnt a true narcissist try to be bigger and or stronger than steroid users without steroids just to prove that he is so awesome?

  • Cool, great tips!

  • chh

  • This guy always reminds me of the personal trainer friend in Night at the Roxbury, i forget his name

  • cool i just did 75lb dumbbells today i so happy

  • schuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

  • Are you a homo ??

  • THANK YOU .ITS VERRY GOOD

  • Thanks for your videos Scott, helping a lot with getting the right form etc. Guys, he probably wears a shirt when training, in the instructionals though it's easier to show everything that's going on which in turn makes the instructional more beneficial.. the breathing is a bit loud but part of me thinks hes also doing this on purpose to help emphasise the importance of breathing & right way to do it when lifting

  • Good job but put a shirt on please.

  • @tigeroak Are you that scared of a male body that you can't look at one?

  • @AnthonyGeneUnit I 'm not scared of the male body. I'm tired of all the incredibly vain puffed up guys at the gym taking off their shirts and looking in the mirror for 2 hours. Narcissistic losers.

  • @tigeroak How are they losers if they are proud of what they have accomplished? It sounds like you are jealous.

  • @AnthonyGeneUnit Vain narcissism is a terrible human characteristic, you sound a little vain yourself and no I'm not jealous. I have worked out for 20 years and have nothing to be jealous over.

  • @AnthonyGeneUnit It sounds like you are gay??

  • @tigeroak If I was, what would that have to do with anything?

  • @AnthonyGeneUnit It makes sense to me now why you don't mind if a guy has his shirt off,you are gay. Not that there is anything wrong with that. I guess it would be like me watching a women with no shirt on,I would like it! It makes sense now,my apologies.

  • @tigeroak I am actually a heterosexual male. I guess that is why I don't understand why you are so bothered by a male without a shirt on since it doesn't bother me.

  • @AnthonyGeneUnit I am not bothered by a "male" with his shirt off. I'm bothered by Vanity and narcissism . Maybe I'm old school but when I see some of the pictures young people put on facebook and tell them the pictures are self promoting and embarrassing they don't understand just like you. I guess what I'm saying is nobody likes a show off.Young men in particular are very arrogant.

  • @tigeroak his body shows that he knows what he's talkin' about. narcissism and 'a picture's worth a thousand words' are two different things.

  • ooh shit man..no wonder my rotator cuff hurted when i try to do this..thx man!

  • fuarrk at your biceps !

  • haters always hating....

  • bump xD nice!

  • FHOUST!!!!

  • There are leg exercises too Scott. They even have machines which Im sure you would prefer.

  • 100% faggot

  • wonder how it sounds like when hes trying to take a shit! tsssss tsss thaaah!
