The song not really about food. As Lovindeer himself say in an interview, it started as a simple joke. A man and a woman in bed, and the woman ask, "You eat?", meaning will he lick pum pum, but the man is witty, and he answers with a different question, "Why, you cook?". Lovindeer is famous for double meanings in his lyrics, as is apparent in this tune as well.
