Newsflash...no one's forcing you to go buy Starbucks. Now what kind of a government goes and tells people what to do and what they should buy and shouldn't?
you can speak and yell but if you continue to do so, I mean there is so much a person can take. It becomes annoying after a while. Write a book or something, damn.
what's Christmas but a time but paying bills without money, a time for finding yourself a year older and not a hour richer, It's a time for buying things that people don't really want or need. If I could work my will every idiot who goes about with "Merry Christmas" on his lips, would be boiled in hos own pudding and burried with a stake of holly through his heart!

Reverend Billy shows up at events he has nothing to do with just so he can protest establishment. I am assuming this his only source of income. He is another useless non-contributer to society... Reverend Billy, who made your microphone and loudspeaker? I'm sure it was someone in a third world country making less than minimum wage. Don't criticize others while you reap the benefits like every other American!
Thats not what he's is saying. He's trying to say that americans should buy what they NEED more so of what they WANT. he is trying to explain that these big companies want every penny from you, cause i mean come on, why do we need so many starbucks!
Dude's a genius. I've rarely agreed with someone so much. I caught the film in New York, and it was spectacular. Very funny, pertinent stuff. Highly recommended.
Reverend Billy deserves your support. Go see 'What Would Jesus Buy' and take part in this cause! Christmas is a brutish empty TRAGEDY these days: People fighting over Wii's? Grandmas spitting on store personnel? People buying WAY too much for their kids? Is THAT what giving is all about? How about giving time instead of THINGS? Supporting local and American products? Sustainable and green business. Buying thrift. Ethical shopping. And REDUCING consumption!
I like this guy .

I take it this guy has never read Twitchell's "Lead Us Into Temptation." I doubt he would find it comforting.
