In the Wagoneer video you said you dropped it off to be serviced and some months later you drove by and saw it sitting out front with a for sale sign in the window? Why did they do that?
how much work was involved in getting your stereo in the dash like that. Looks good; I have a '67 and wouldn't mind getting rid of the AM-only stock radio if the change doesn't destroy a bunch of the stock dash trim and wiring.
Not too much from what I remember. It's held in with two brackets bolted to the sides of the stereo, and bolted into the two holes in the dash that held the original radio.
She has the 318, with the a904 Torqueflite. Unfortunately, both the engine and trans are going to need rebuilt. The engine is getting tired, and the transmission no longer downshifts by itself. Gas mileage is around 17 MPG hwy. She has drums all around, which I upgraded to power brakes. She was optioned rather strangely - she seems like a base model ordered with an auto, A/C, premuim am/fm radio and clock... and only one headrest...
I did some Google-ing and came up with the title to the song, but, I couldn't find it on iTunes (it seemed to be the only song they did not have by them), but luckily I got a Best Buy giftcard as a belated Christmas gift from my aunt today, so I will see if I can locate a Great Big Sea CD there.
Also, what does ur Polara have under the hood, the bigger or the smaller V8? And what is the gas mileage?
Are the brakes front disc/rear drum or drums all around?
I remember when I was a kid my uncle had the Chrysler version of this. The AC was so cold in those old chrysler products that his dashboard had frost on it. No joke.
Hello! how are you doing? fine i hope! anyway i would like to ask you a few question? if i can?
I also have a 68,polara and i would like to know if you know, of any place besides the hemi book that you know of that i can purchase items for my 68,also. like small interior stuff. or out side basically anything period?
My '68 is basically stock - nothing special. Most of the parts that I've needed (fader control, antenna, windows handles, etc), I've found on eBay. If you need exterior parts, I'd suggest Wildcat auto wrecking, though their prices can be high and shipping is a lot on larger items. I purchased fenders for my '61 Valiant from them.
Still? This is after about $300 of work haha. New reman compressor, new drier, flushed the entire system, pulled a vacuum, and charged it. I had to make new gaskets for the compressor manifolds, and machine down the high side manifold because it was warped for some reason. It is nice having working AC though :)
Make a video of your Wagoneer with the busted hood release with this song playing on the radio of the Wagoneer

My '68 Satellite would do that. I would have to occasionally run the heat to defrost the system.

That's believable. On humid days, the outsides of my windows start fogging up if I'm stopped for a while.
