Idea about tapping courier companies is really good. Thats the best way to start from. Getting an individual would be difficult but then in the individual category the college kids would be easy to convince.!!!!
I'm not sayin that people can't travel i'm saying that they don't prefer traveling via bicycles, and the people that u r talkin abt r the ones those who can't afford comforts what say..??
Yes i do agree that they r much safer but time is something which is to be taken into consideration.... a 5 Km ride takes a lot more time than a 5 Km drive and i am sure that the 5-6 Km ride u r talkin abt is the one that u take in the morning [exercise] and not while going to work.. ;)

Harry It is myth that ppl cannot travel on cycles. It is just a feeling and a mental block as Ramesh mentioned. I know many guys travel in cycles. Climatic condition-People ride in summer comfortably; in rain it is no different to riding motorbike except cycle is much safer. We need to come out of this myth and start using cycle to make this world a better place to live in. For all local travels upto 5-6 kms I ride cycle for last one year after always travelling in car for the last 15 years.
