  • Can you do a video of this song on Capo?

    Just the chords for capo.

It is taking me a hard time figuring chords with capo on..

  • sorry, i can't do another video.

i suggest u note down the revised chords on paper, and follow that after you've understood the strumming pattern. do u need help with substituting chords?

  • @pjalan Nah, just the second verse with m6 chords. I just wanted chords, not the video. If you can, just paste the chords (with capo) here itself. It would do.

    Cheers.

  • with capo on 3rd fret

play Em to get sound of Gm

    and play Am6 to get Cm6 ...

Am6 in open position is played as X02212

    I eman just a capo?

  • sir cool to see ur videos

  • thanks, vj :)

  • thanks sir for showing Cm6, all these days i was playin it as Cm. thanks a lot..

    Sam

  • Cm6 is a favorite with most bollywood music - in fact, songs that are based on shivranjani raag like mere naina and jaane kahan use most m6 chord based on the key of the song to bring out the mood of this raag !!

do u need help with the chords perhaps ??

  • noo.. I just want to know the strumming pattern. Can u plz tell me[DUDDU] like that.

whenever u r not accepting my request just tell me the strumming pattern.

  • i am not good at writing the strumming pattern - how about checking my lesson for tumse yun milenge - it has a similar pattern, try that one for this song, shud sound ok ..

  • hi sir this is rahul,

    awesome video sir.

one thing that i would like to ask u sir is how do we derive the 6th of any chord e.g. C6, A6, G6 or Cm6 (which u have used inhere too), i mean what is the funda behind it? If u could tell us either verbally or by way of a video.

    thanks take care.

  • good question, rahul :)

if u mean how it is constructed, it's very simple, add the the note that is 2 semitones above the 3rd note in the triad - so if it is A major or minor, the 3rd note in the triad chord is always E, so u just add F#, which is 2 semitones above #.

if u want to know the finger positions, there are tons of web sites that can help u - try chordfind . com

    god bless

    pawan

  • hi sir,

thanx a ton sir, for the explanation for my query in the most simple way.

you've made it so easy for me to understand the construction of the 6th of any chord just by looking at the finger position of that particular chord.

sir, here i request you if you could please tell me the construction of 9th, 7th , add9, add7 of any given chord in the similar simle way.

i will be very grateful to you for that sir,

    take care

    rahul.

  • as i said earlier, check out chordfind . com, and u will get all ur answers - they have done it so well, i will not be able to do a better job :)

  • Sir, its me again Animesh, Sir i m having a request for you can you upload a lesson for the song Lamha Lamha doorie from the movie gangster it will be a pleasure hearing from you :)

  • nice song, but won't be doing a video for this one, animesh :) chords sound fairly straight too, do u need help with the chords ??

  • what are the parallel chords with the capo on

  • hi manu :)

not sure what ur question is?

i did explain the chords with capo, is there something i missed?

    pawan

  • Mind Blowing Sir...You are really genius...

Sir , can you please teach me how to play guitar? Do you have any website, blog where you post tutorials... I have started learning guitar 4 months back, learned 3-4 chords. Please sir, guide me...

  • thanks, my friend :)

i don't have a web site for general lessons - check out justinguitar . com, it's very good ...

    pawan

  • awesome as always :)

    Sir,

can u consider DIL GIRA DAFATAN from the movie DELHI 6 ???

    thanx in advance :)

  • thanks, abhinav

  • its okay sir :)

  • thanks pawan da i am trying..

  • keep it going, dada :)

  • i am waiting for ur tutorial on duniya mein logo ko

  • fantastic song - oldies r on hold for some time, will try to do some time, no promises though !!

  • Hey Gr8 Job... Just wanna ask one thing.. when the antara comes.. Yeh raat thodi toh dhalne do.. you played chords like (Gm) Yeh raat thodi toh dhalne do (Cm6) Dheere dheere isko pighalne do but second times you played it like (Cm6) Yeh raat thodi toh (Gm) dhalne do (F) Dheere dheere isko (Gm) pighalne do Its in your video...y so
  • that's the musician's creativity in building harmonies! if u listen carefully with headphones, u will hear these chords

all the lines have the notes A and Bb in the beginning, lasting for short durations, played twice, then finally settling down on the note G. so instead of just playing Gm for the entire duration of the 4 lines, the musician substitutes with Cm6 and F to add some color, u cud also try playing Gm-add9

  • sirjee wt abt ur original Que

    i m still w8ing for tanha dil

  • original que had to be revised, sorry !!

had to give more priority to newer numbers :(

will try to do it some time, pls bear with me ...

    no promises though :)

  • chords are all sounding perfect though .. =)

  • one calrification/correction if may make... the song sounds in bflat major when i play on the piano ..

  • Gm is relative minor to Bb, so they share the same notes! just the way Am and C share the same notes :)

  • that makes sense..

I haven't reached a stage to to have figured that out myself =P

  • just a matter of time :)

  • appreciate your work, sir!

  • thanks :)

  • Again thanks a lot sir....4 this new upload excellent work.....

  • thanks vikash :)

  • Thnx 4 dis one sir....gr8 work...regds...abhi.
