  • LOL Let me smell of it!!!

  • AND YE GET THIS STUFF RIGHT CHEER!!!

  • Good bead! Those large bubbles went away quick!

  • @cowboyhippie Damn Bubba, Very few know of the bead and the bubble. I was going to comment after the shake. LOL You beat me to it. Good eye. And may I say, knowledge.

  • @starr522 I come from a long line of corn likker makers. LOL

  • 140 PROOF LET ME SMELL OF IT .

  • These old boy's are fun to be around ! When they are gone I'm going to miss them!

  • boy that smells good

  • Isn't it great that the government tries to stop people from making something we could make with home appliances?

  • @EnthalpyH Just like how some governments try to restrict firearms, but any handy person with a good selection of scrap metal and hand-tools can make a decent gun in less than 20 hours.

  • @bowow0807, he doesn't use yeast, just water, sugar, & malt corn. I would think he heats up the water to help dissolve the sugar. That's what i do.

  • @highproof does he go and boil his water, sugar and corn sprouts and let it cool then add yeast or does he just mix it all together?

  • O.K. @soadisawesome24, what grains are you using? are you going to age your spirits in oak barrels and if so for how long? whats your source of water, natural or city supplied? how many and how big is your stills? and last question, do you and your buddies know what your doing?

  • hey me and some buddies are starting a distillery in alabama...not sayin where right now but we use family recipes for our spirits that come from the rum runers days...hit me up with questions

  • MAN ID LOVE TO TRY THAT ..I BET ITS FREAKING GREAT..

  • if thats 140 proof , then it has ashit load of methanol in it and will make you go blind

  • This guy looks to be authentic... anyone who says 'Smell of it' is from the hills or close by. Grandpaw used to get clear 'shine' from fellows out on Holston Mountain (beyond Bristol Tennessee) and I remember 'smelling of it' in daddy's garage in a glass jar once. I thought it was acid it was so pungent. But I knew better than to take it.... because daddy and grandpaw made it clear that moonshine was only for mountain men or men that knew them.

  • LMFAO god i love this GETCH THIS STUPH RICHE HEAR

  • clean moonshine tastes like a 1000 tiny faeries dancing on your lips

  • Hey he kinda looks like Goober Pyle from Mayberry!

  • this is 2 all u goverments FUCK U YOU GREADY ROBBING CUNTS YOU WILL NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER DEFIET US TRUE MOONSHINERS I MAKE TONNS OF IT MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM ALL DAY

  • What do they do to ya in the UK for making illegal hooch?

  • i heard its iligal coz we dont pay tax on it why the hell should we not make it just to let them get all the profits / /theres not 1 case in the uk that i no who has been caught/ as its not as big here as in the us

  • I was curious about that. In the USA the Cops tend to leave the "little hobby" private distillers alone in most areas. The ATF will definitely bust the large moonshiners asses though, with prison time and high fines. Interestingly the "illegal hobby" of private distilling is gaining a big following in America & some people are crafting some high-grade spirits at home these days for sure.

  • @7tnorris Haha its been caught on for a while now, just making a come back :-) The ATF truely is a worthless agency, if given the chance/tip off they will bust the small guys too, but they tend to have other larger matters to attend to. Like making sure Americans 2nd amendment is thoroughly trampled on/suppressed. The big reason that the little guys dont get caught is because most of the small town cops grew up around them or parts of their families. At least thats the case where I'm from.

  • i make up to 160 proof which is 80% alcohol and i get oak chips and drop in a bottle and fill with moonshine then leave it to age and turn brown as it gets all the flavours off the chips/ then i filter after 2 years or a year into other bottles and seal mmmmmmmmmm loveley

  • I feel the same way about whiskey as you do. I love the flavors of the oak, although I don't like my whiskey to be "too woody" or over-aged. A big trend these days is the taste of "fresh whiskey" but I am not one of them personally. I appreciate the flavor of white dog but I am an old school oak man like you.

  • wish i could taste it!

  • @kybourbon1 You can almost smell it through the screen eh?

  • the goverments say alchol making is iligal well i say fuck emm all because they cant tax it fuk the goverment its a free world and good luck to them moonshiners no one has the right to tell anyone what to do/ tom is awsome/ i been making moonshine for years and still doing it now mmmmmmmm nector of the gods keep up the good work tom we will fuck all the goverments / the greedy cunts

  • damn yall remind me of my uncles

  • man jim tom is awesome

  • I absolutely LOVE this guy. Authentic to the bone!!

  • theres noting like moon shine, its not stored in oak barells for years so you get so many other chemicals in their that ar just electric.

  • Alcohol is a poison in the same way that tea, coffee and even water are poisons. Yes, even water if you drink enough of it at one time will kill you. I believe about a pound of tea boiled up is a lethal dose. There are so many myths about alcohol it's difficult to know where to start, but I'll mention one ie alcohol kills brain cells - alhtough surprising, this is not true. Alcohol, in moderation, is good for you phsically and mentally. I believe the world would be a worse place without booze.

  • Alcohol is a toxic substance; it is in fact a poison. That's fact and not just opinion. If I would ingest rat poison and then have a "reaction" are you saying that its "the person"......and NOT the substance?

  • all drugs COULD be considered poison.....if your a douch-bag.....lol.......

  • I'm a "recovering" alcoholic. Stopped for good a little over 20 years ago...never looked back. Jesus Christ, if I lived somewhere where everyone was making moonshine I'd prolly be dead. But they take it all so lightly..

  • You just couldnt handle yourself. Dont blame the alcohol. its the person. Doesnt help but its ALLLmost you(:

  • agree, booze gets blamed for alot of shit booze didnt do.....hahah

  • I have been looking for this for years! I saw it on IFC once and fuck if it didn't take me a few hours of searching (and getting sidetracked) to find the name of it again. FINALLY! WOOHOO!

But now I forgot who I wanted to show it to. Oh well.

  • GET DIS STUFF RIGHT CHERE!!!

  • weds thurs frid sat bout monday it'll be ready to pour back in the still and run it thru and GET DIS STUFF RIGHT CHEER!!!!

  • Scary stuff. I certainly don't want to take a "Wrong Turn" down into his property...

  • OOh doggies!!!! I want some of that stuff rat chere!!!!! You KNOW that has to be strong!!!

  • Its illegal because as you can tell, it killed about half this fellas brain cells. lol

  • Thats not why its Illegal. If that was the case then HOLY SHIT all this alcohol you can buy at walmart! Wally Worlds smugglers! xD Fuck your dirty cow water alcohol Im gonna go smoke a natural clean grown plant :D

  • lol lemme smell of it

  • boy that smells good

  • Comment removed

  • thats horseshit. you need to research

  • Yeah dude, it is illegal. Unless you live in netherlands or some place overseas. Even then some places have it illegal.

  • Its illegal to make... fucking idiot

  • it's not illegal to make e85 ethanol if you get a simple permit which is exactly the same thing.

  • It's legal to make some for yourself....When you sell it is when it's illegal.

  • nope its all illegal. considered tax evasion

  • actually dude i wish it was legal to make but thats wine u can make wine for own consumption but moonshine is absolutly illegal unless u have a permit to make ethenol(the same thing) but then ur supposed to add a chemical to make it undrinkable i though or u can get a liquor producing and selling license but i hear its an assload to buy but it is illegal to make in south carolina

  • my hero where does he live my granny lives in lincolnton nc does he live close i would like to meet him

  • Hey I was up there Sunday looking for Jim Tom only thing I found was those two dogs hes got trying to eat me up. He was not in the dumpsters or blowing fish up in the creek, but he could have been making some shine.

  • i've had my fair share of white likker lol

  • "making moonshine is classified under home brewing its only illegal in some states "

yep and its as american as apple pie

  • its only illegal if you sell it if you just give it away its fine

  • No, it's only legal to make beer or wine. Distilling ethanol for consumption is against the law.

  • its illeagal to make, sell, or possess in NC.

  • fuck!

  • My uncle fell in a vat of that stuff and 3 guys dived into save him but he fought them off bravely, anyway he died from drinking to much of it, when they cremated him it took the fire dept 3 days to put the fire out.

  • jameswoods, Its absolutely not considered home brewing. Homebrewing pertains to beer or wine only. Most states allow you to brew 100 gallons of beer or wine per year for personal use only. Not to sell. Distilling alcohol is illegal in every state in the US if you do not have a federal permit to do so. Whether its for personal use, sale or for even fuel its illegal. Dont give people dumb advice they will go to jail for following.

  • Thats got one hell of a bead on it.

  • I wanna get up with this guy and make some shine. He seems pretty cool. I'm only an amature though. I have a set up in the woods with a camp stove a pressure cooker and a 5 gallon bucket which I fill up with icewater for a condenser. Does he go with the whole thump keg and all or is he simple with his set up too?

  • if you dont wana get arrested by the feds then i wouldn't go round broadcasting that!

  • shut up stupid

  • its not like its illegal

  • it's actually illegal to make moonshine, yes. lol

  • making moonshine is classified under home brewing its only illegal in some states

  • id imagine its more likely to be found in the woods than in your shed or sumthing.

  • Is this copperhead road?

  • let me smell of it

  • guys like him wont be around forever we all should try and learn something from the older generation. a master at his work

  • It's right CHERE! lol

  • them bubbles didnt leave that very quick, try using copper lined into a drop disfuzer...plus there is many kinds of yeast out there, and please people do not use radiators for this shit, its how people get caught, not sayin you do, just the last video i watched he used radiators, which leads to led poisening, that makes people made bout there liquor...plus you know a guy named popcorn? not on the internet by the way...

  • Hang in there Jim Tom you are a true American icon! If you hate on the South its b/c you just dont get it, and you never will. ETN4EVA
