  • whatever, thats probably a store bought beaver!

  • I set a trap exactly how you have it over a three week period and got 3 beavers. two 35 pound and a 55 pound beaver. and 2 muskrats which is weird because i didnt think muskrats used beaver dens but each time the muskrats were caught heading into the den so maybe they were just checking it out.

  • You are the mad trapper!

  • Can you make a video of u fleshing a beaver. I can flesh one but it takes me a while just wanting to learn some tips on it making it go faster.

  • Your developing a cult following. My wife at sweet little daughters watched one of your videos with me, At thanksgiving dinner everyone was sayin' pass that fuckin' turkey will you, Where's the fuckin' cranberries.Whose fuckin' turn is it to fuckin' say Grace. Busted our fuckin' guts laughin'.Happy thanksgiving.

  • that might be the biggest beaver I have ever seen, well done. ..-Keith

  • You are living the trapper's dream! Your videos are good and you have a dedication to your craft. One question, does the 330 pivot in your frame without bracing at the bottom ? I was thinking the trap may be stabilized on the bottom by the mud, but was wondering if it mattered. Thanks for the great videos!

  • @snyper069 i wired the trap to my frame

  • @TheWildNorth

but the bottom part (the base) of the trap i wobbly. Do you have wifi in your trap cabin?

  • @TheWildNorth

Fuckin dangerous to trap Beaver under Ice....the winters are not like before and ice is thinner. Is this your full time job?

Use Fresh Poplar wood in the middle of the connibear 330 trap.....with teeth marks on it.

Is it easy to find mud under the ice to push the beaver stake trap in....

    I'm new to trapping beaver

  • Damn that's a nice beaver...first time I ever said that to a guy lol.

  • ok so here i sit in my crappy office in the upper peninsula of michigan. i have a small line of snares for fox an coyote. a small line for mink, muskrat beaver and otter.and a few sets for bobcat. i have watched all your videos , good job man . real good description and footage.i would like to see more on putting the fur up. ya know how to properly flesh and stretch. that is where i need to get better. i noticed in one you had a bear bone for fleshing? oops here comes the boss gotta go. good job

  • Used the fire log a couple of times so far. It's a really good trick. Cooked tinned soup on one today. Nice way to warm up while logging fire wood. Thanks.

Lynx season is closed here. but I'll be trying your walk through snare sets next season.

  • It's not my idea or trick so i can't take credit. But it does work really well! Looking forward to the video. You definitely have the touch in making them informative and interesting. They aren't staged and things are shown as they really are on the line. Keep them coming!

Did you ever figure out who's trap was on the wolf?

  • @mushercdn yes he was on of my neighbours who is also a trapper he has a line and a cabin a a ways from me.

    peace

  • You aren't doing anything wrong! You go the beaver! We snare them under ice. If we conibear them we fix the bait differently to the trap. there's even a trigger you can buy that you screw the bait onto The trigger has a screw welded to it. You can also run a couple of old wires to the trap and leave the exposed ends out of the ice. If the circuit isn't broken the trap isn't sprung.

Love the burning log trick. Going to do that when I cut firewood this winter.

  • @mushercdn damn man thats a hell of a good idea about running wire to tell you if the trap is sprung or not damn why dident i think of that i will definately do that im trapping 6 beaver houses now just getting them all set up will make a video or a couple video on it thanks for the tip you just saved me a hell of a lot of work.

    peace

  • Great video as usual. That's one fucking big beaver. Holy shit! Let ma ask a stupid question. Do they ever get wise and build a new entrance, or are you able to keep setting the trap in the same place? Thanks

  • @StMichaelsCrew i dont think so they dont live long enough to get wise trap goes over there entrance wen they come in or out of there house they get cought.the trap gets set in the same spot once beaver gets cought his buddys have to swim by him to get out.

    peace
