the reason it doesnt make that much power in lower rpms is because of the valve timing. only half the valves are working till about 4000rpm

In regards to a pure stock vehicle, I would prefer driving an AE86 over any popular drifting cars out there! As the vid narrator's stated, "it was ahead of it's time." Very true. I've driven turbo 180sx, 240sx, MR-S, MR2 (first and second gen), Integra GSR B18s and B16s... rode in RX-7s, WRXs, Evos, Miatas, Supras, and none of them have ever captured a good cruising and fun driving like the AE86. None... as in stock. Plus I used to own a GTS haha! I miss it now, dammit.

Cool you like classics too, i wish they still made those kind of cars. Another great thing about this corolla is that you can see fully over the dash, plus it's a compact car so you get more feel of the road and sharp cornering force. Really Fun To drive no matter how much power it has. Half sport half economy.

the AE86 RWD chassis i believe went out of production at the end of 1987 I think mainly due to the fact its cheaper to make cars FWD and they are more idiot proof i guess. Dont quote me on that tho. Ive owned 2 of these and they are extremely fun and simple cars. Rumor is Toyota and Subaru will be making a tribute to this car in a few years. Prolly wont be called a Corolla tho and might have a boxer engine. If so hello RWD STI swap :)
