  • On Wikipedia it says that the Amiga version of this game is closer to the arcade version than the Genesis one, im not too sure about that, I think this version is more like the arcade machine.

  • this game had the best sound effects for hitting people and when doors open

  • its like everytime u hear that sound effect when they get hit , its like its sayin "derp" lmaoooo

  • The sounds of my childhood;

    FWICKEM FWACKEM

    DUT DUT

    DURT

    ARGGGGHHHHH

  • Holy shit does this bring back memories

  • i am making golden axe in hunted the demon forge.. if your interested lets become friends and you can play my awesome mapp i am working on ..

i am trying to make it after your playthorugh

  • women and children running at 2:04 sounds like rats being trapped lol

  • I used to get hard over the chick character in the red bikini lol!!

  • *plok*

    "Aaaaaah!"

  • I remember owning a copy of this game and really enjoying its beat em up style.

It was the only other game that kept me interested in genesis at the time because i had 3 games:this game double dragon 3 and sonic which i had beaten.

  • Did u TAS it??? cause there is no way i could go that fast

  • I remember that i had this game when i was about 5 years old... I don't know why I had it, or what happened to it. It's me or it's somewhat similar to alien storm?

    (excuse my bad english)

  • I notice that this Game doesn't play as Fair as the Arcade Version it cheats more the best I ever did was Die 5 Times before Beating it...the Final Boss' henchmen the Skeletons cannot die, and they are the Cheapest foes to fight.

  • jajjaja 5:11 Homeless LOL

  • playthrough? more like a speed run ! damn that was fast !

  • i was 6 years old :)

  • Arcade version of course had better graphics, but the Genesis version was longer and seems to have smoother control.

  • 2:40.....lil imp going falling! XD

  • what type of demon townsfolk were that?! If that was scared I'd hate to hear them angry, haha.

  • lol looking back at this i am almost embarrasst to say i grew up on this game and was the best. but i really was for its time

  • I love the crude 'dying screams' there just ace!

  • LOL it thought i was the only one!!!!

  • Cult, classic, awesome game!

  • Great game, good job

  • After seeing this, I feel like bodychecking midgets now.

  • god I loved that game, especially the music. idk y :X

  • is a shit

  • This game was cool.

  • Your pretty good, im only useful with the Amazon and the drawf, but you have mastered this guy.

  • Nice watching your video. But I feel you should utilise all holes and cliffs to your advantage.

Using the beasts and magic will also result in a reduction of the final score.

I can also see that you have an excellent control of the air downward thrust. Maybe you should do a full run of Golden Axe II as well.

  • The original System 16 arcade Golden Axe had significantly better graphics & animation than this downgraded Megadrive/Genesis translation.

The only official home version that's as good as the arcade is the XBLA version on Xbox 360.

  • Ahh i remember this game :P

  • Another game that gives me plenty of memories, I couldn't stop laughing at how easy it was!

  • That must have took some practice to get a playthrough like that. I found this very enjoyable, because as much i like watching Tool Assisted playthroughs, nothing quite beats the real deal

  • Yep, it sure did take lots of practice and also many attempts.

  • @ninjasrok Im impressed i dont think i ever got so far never being hit!

  • Slash! Knock Knock! Kick! Yeah... That's Golden Axe alright.

  • this might be a stupid question but was this tool assisted... it looks like you're actually playing through it.... were saved states used?

  • This video is real, as are all my videos. I guess this video does kind of look like tool assisted because of the precision and I didn't get hit at all yet. If this was tool assisted, it would have been beaten in five minutes without ever getting hit or dying. Check part 2 of the video, I finally get hit at the end and lose two lives.

  • well then nicely done Ninjasrok... I've seen a lot of Tools Assisted runs on here that's why I asked.... it's nice to see people still actually play emulators for fun and real speed runs :)
