Being a prequel to Ocarina of Time, I wondered about that just a little, too. It should be in that area in the center of the map you never get to see, but at the same time it could be just a gigantic hole since Hylia tore out a piece of the earth to make Skyloft.

Wish we could have at least seen what's there.

@TurquoiseStar17 Get the map of OoT, you will notice that the center of map would be the Hyrule Field, and the area beneath the thunderhead would be the Hyrule Castle.

You can also insert the TP map (GC version), and see that it fits perfectly too.
