I read on a site that the Piccolo in the Movie is meant to be the Piccolo of the Dragon Ball Tv Series not Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball is when goku is a kid, But Goku is 7 on the Tv Show, But they made him 17 in the movie. So there telling the show from the Start. They still could have put Krillin in the movie, Since he was in Dragon Ball to -.-. They said they plan on makeing it into Dragon Ball Z if the Dragon Ball movie goes good. Just give it time to Grow.
