You think holding together a home, alone, without knowing if you will ever see your husband again is easy? You try living without seeing or speaking to your best friend and the most important person in your life for months, sometimes years at a time. I am proud to be an Army wife and I am anxiously awaiting my husbands return from Afghanistan some time next year. And yes, they won't even tell us when his tour is over.

The will tell you wives manage the home front and do more for the husbands than just clean and take care of the kids! They are not slaves as you have rudely suggested! Grow up! They do so much to help out their men without asking or even expecting anything in return!

And the family wakes up not knowing if they will ever see their soldier again. My oldest brother died in 1997 overseas. I was really scared but I had faith and I knew god would keep him safe. I thank all the men and the women that are in every military branch and their families. He is going into the military, but he promised me not till I turn 18, and I am old enough to go with him. I know this is going to be a struggle for me emotionally. I pray God will keep him safe. So, im dreading it, but I support him because I know this is what he wants to do.

My boyfriend is an ex-marine who served in iraq now he is in iraq as a private contractor. So I have had to make the sacrifice two different ways. Now he can't even protect himself.
imagine those wives married to men who are higher up rank then normal such as a navy seal or piolets on top secret mission. the men leave you have no idea where or why and when he will be back, couple weeks later they come to your house and tell you hes dead.

Thanks so much. I am a military wife (Army) and a mommy to be. Most people often forget that we serve right along with our husbands and its not just them doing it alone. We suffer just as much as they do. Just because we're not in the conditions they are in doesn't mean it doesn't affect us just as much. Their our hero's in every way for doing what they do and so our the Military Spouses who also do what they do!

The wives are the heroes, my wife is more of a hero than I am. Every time I'm deployed she writes everyday I am gone. She probably has it harder than I do, trying to raise a 5 year old boy on her own for 7 to 12 months can't be easy. And she has come to learn that my troop is her family, every man is my brother and hers or so it seems.....I thank each and every military wife for everything, they make life possible over there!!

I am a military wife too. WE were active and are now reserves. He is about to leave this fall and it will make his 8th deployment. It is hard being away from the base and not everyone around you understands as they are not used to the words deployment and committment to our country. The reserve unit should have a support group online as well. You can also check with the family center for his reserve base/post. I know it is hard but God makes us strong. My prayer is with you today.

My husband and I got married this last august and he is getting ready down in Fort Hood Texas for deployment. I miss him everyday and can't wait till next January when I see my hero. It's very hard not to cry all the time but our son keeps me going on and smiling.

I love people with your honesty. My boyfriend is leaving in less than 48 hours for IRAQ and I want to marry into the military. I love him and would give all of me for him. While he is gone I am preparing myself for the journey of being a military wife. And I need all the encouragement I can get. Every time I visited the Cub Scout Pack my post Charters a little boy would always tell me, "I love my Daddy and when he comes home we will go camping." It was the greatest thing when his father came home safe. He was one of seven kids who had a parent down range and praise to Jesus they all came home safe.

Everytime my husband deploys this song floods my head. He just left exactly three weeks ago, and I swear, each and every deployment gets harder...Every deployment it gets harder to say goodbye. I love you Sgt. Mikk, I'm so proud of you babe!!!! COME HOME SOON!!!!

My husband is currently a US Marine and he is in Afghanistan. I am currently having to make this sacrifice that you have made. What tops it all of we are newly weds and it is our 1st deployment and his child will be born before he gets back home. I just want him to come home soon. I love him truly.

My boyfriend is an ex-marine who served in iraq now he is in iraq as a private contractor. So I have had to make the sacrifice two different ways. Now he can't even protect himself.

imagine those wives married to men who are higher up rank then normal such as a navy seal or piolets on top secret mission. the men leave you have no idea where or why and when he will be back, couple weeks later they come to your house and tell you hes dead.
Now thats fucking hard. Proud of these military wives.

im an army wife to a national guard soldier and i love the video. my husband hasnt been deployed yet but every day i worry when they will deploy him. us wives of the soldiers are very strong and we have to be for our kids and our soldier. thanks for the video

Thanks so much. I am a military wife (Army) and a mommy to be. Most people often forget that we serve right along with our husbands and its not just them doing it alone. We suffer just as much as they do. Just because we're not in the conditions they are in doesn't mean it doesn't affect us just as much. Their our hero's in every way for doing what they do and so our the Military Spouses who also do what they do!

The wives are the heroes, my wife is more of a hero than I am. Every time I'm deployed she writes everyday I am gone. She probably has it harder than I do, trying to raise a 5 year old boy on her own for 7 to 12 months can't be easy. And she has come to learn that my troop is her family, every man is my brother and hers or so it seems.....I thank each and every military wife for everything, they make life possible over there!!

I am a military wife too, and love to hear and chat with other wives. Do you know of other sites, blogs, etc? My husband is in the reserves and we are away from a military base. When he is gone there is no way for me to get as much support. Any ideas? Thanks for the video and I liked it very much, but please check the spelling :( sorry.

I am a military wife too. WE were active and are now reserves. He is about to leave this fall and it will make his 8th deployment. It is hard being away from the base and not everyone around you understands as they are not used to the words deployment and committment to our country. The reserve unit should have a support group online as well. You can also check with the family center for his reserve base/post. I know it is hard but God makes us strong. My prayer is with you today.

My husband and I got married this last august and he is getting ready down in Fort Hood Texas for deployment. I miss him everyday and can't wait till next January when I see my hero. It's very hard not to cry all the time but our son keeps me going on and smiling.

My husband is in Iraq and Before he left I never knew how hard it is to fall asleep alone! I thank our hero's but I also thank us miltiary wives for supporting them! My husband is gone till september and I miss him dearly... Thanks for sharing this video!

my husband has been out of the marine corps for about 7 months now and i love my man so much he only went on one deployment the military wife life isnt easy but you know what if your gunna marry in to the military you better know way before you do it because theres no gauntee he will return and military wives have a bad rep *everyone says military wives cheat i never did and i know alot that have* so you marry a marine or solder just remain faithful

I love people with your honesty. My boyfriend is leaving in less than 48 hours for IRAQ and I want to marry into the military. I love him and would give all of me for him. While he is gone I am preparing myself for the journey of being a military wife. And I need all the encouragement I can get. It is not easy just being a girlfriend but I would scarifice just as much to be his faithful wife.

Ok for starters i just want to say that if you think something bad about the military the wives or a picture in the video keep it to yourself. You dont no what has happened in these peoples lifes. I made the video and cant tell you everything about everyone in it. Yes some wives will cheat and thats messed up this is my husbands 2nd deployment and i wouldnt dream of doing that but it happens and it happens even if ur not military. SO PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE RUDE COMMENTS!!

Great video! ia m about to be deployed overseas for 15 months and marrying my soulmate and best friend Jenny this month. She will have to be alone our first year of marriage. these women don't deserve to be spoken of badly they sit at home trying to live their lives as best they can knowing they may never see that face they love so much again the troops obviously make sacrifice but so do the loved ones. when you have been out there then you have the right to speak your mind but until then keep your thoughts to yourself and for all those out there fighting and for those at home keeping the home running good luck

I am married 24 wonderful yrs to my USMC guy. We made it through thick and thin and still pulled together. It is the toughest job I ever had being a military wife, but I look back and I am glad!!! Keep to your vows and u too will make it, Semper FI

Every time I visited the Cub Scout Pack my post Charters a little boy would always tell me, "I love my Daddy and when he comes home we will go camping." It was the greatest thing when his father came home safe. He was one of seven kids who had a parent down range and praise to Jesus they all came home safe.
