Good job on the video, in fact I agree with you, one wonders what could happen if say Google decides to charge 10-20 cents on each search, would nobody use Google anymore? If you could reply to my questions and also please state how were the business model of those who survived different than the rest?
@blackrobe2007 The businesses who survived were those which had a powerful monetization strategy in place, which often goes beyond traditional advertising, but it is true that many of the firms who survived the Dot Com Burst weren't making a profit even back then, but the reason they survived was because they kept their expenses under control
@blackrobe2007 Other search engines would have the opportunity to grab attention of users who are 1 click away of keep getting a search service for free, as long as the results are good enough. If there is no other good enough service, poeple may pay for it, but I strongly see it as unprovable.
