This was scripted oh yes indeed, but the whole reason why it was a success was because of Lauren Conrad. MTV knew they had a gem in their hands. Lauren is what brought the ratings.. Did you notice when Lauren left the Hills, the ratings drop dramatically and the show could no longer make it with out her.. So the bottom line is America loves genuine beauty, and Lauren surely showed us that..If any body says beauty doesnt sell, then their living under a cave in crstal cove..
