sorry bud but everyone around us is switching to cat... cats have some serious tourque just depends on what model you have like the 865... and speed has nothing to do with torque... the gear ratio has to do with that and speed... road gear and rpms determine the speed and which gear your in determins pulling power... but let me remind you it takes more power to reach a higher top speed but im guessing the jd has a lower top gear

It does. Driving 20km to get from field to field at 30km/h takes a long time and wastes a lot of money. Thats why a lot of modern tractors can go upwards of 60km/h.
