Gosh, it looks so white and clean. The mountains in the bg sets it off beautiful. Then the swim in the ice cold water had me freezing just watching. lol.
Howdy slim! - I hear you about that cold water! The few times we've gone up, my son always says "Geez, we'll have to do that next year" and of course, I always agree with him, but you know how that goes... I'm thinking to myself - Like hell we are! hehe

Hi Bflat - it's the first year in a few years that they've actually had enough ice on the lake to hold it out on the ice. The last few years have been too warm for the ice to thicken up. We always enjoy going up for the Carnival, especially when the weather is nice, like it was that day! I always just enjoy the scenery - the mountains and the lake are really beautiful.
LG is the first place I learned to water ski, my dad took us when we were kids and eventually as I became older I would visit the Sagamore .. which is where I honeymooned with my hubby.
Eventually we bought a place in the Adirondacks, we love it so much!
We enjoy the Adirondacks too - we don't get up there as much as we used to, things just seem to get so hectic. We used to spend a lot of time up there, especially around the Long Lake area. We've taken the floatplane ride out of Long Lake quite a few times. It's nice to do in the fall, when the leaves are at peak.
