  • target accquired ,XD

  • pretty crazy him having a lens like that t the age of 13 :LLL

  • they must have sold their entire village to the brits to get all these stuff

  • This makes me want to go on a bird watching cruise!

  • when it gets near let it rip lol :)

  • Hey, im starting with birds zoon, but do you think a 24-105 lens is god to take pics of garden birlds??

  • Just wanted to say I have been doing photography since I was ten and have loved every minute of it. I wish many years of joy to your son and his sons and daughters to come! This video was a joy to watch. He is going to be a fine photographer. Best to you both.

  • Buffer, in camera memory used to take the shot before it is transferred to the memory card.

  • finaly another teen who knows how to use a camera on something other than iauto

  • What is running out of buffer?

  • @AcquiredCardSkills

My 40D's buffer ran out very early. Even the kid's 7D ran out of buffer in one instance in the video.

  • @AcquiredCardSkills

I think its what the camera stores in its memory before it writes to the card.

  • @AcquiredCardSkills romyocon obviously didnt get your question. There is a memory buffer in the camera that holds the images while they are being processed and written to the actual memory card. If you shoot, and fill the buffer, faster than it can process and get the images out of there, you will fill it up and it will slow everything down until you let it clear itself out.

  • Damn kid you lucky to have a lens like that, that costs so much money...

I only have a Canon EOS 60D with the 18-200mm kit lens and love avian photography.

I have no idea why I am calling you kid when I'm a year younger...

    BTW great shots.

  • that is amazing

  • its more about the lens than the body - you know that.

  • this would be a great hobby for a father and son....minus the expense.

  • what kind cf card po gamit nila?

  • @jadric

I use Sandisk 32 GB 60 Mbps CF cards.

  • nice shots! compliments for the video

  • Why a 40D with a 400 2.8? If you can afford a 400 2.8 you should get a better camera.

  • @Jakelol1980

    What's wrong with a 40D?

  • @romyocon Nothing i got one my self, but if you can afford that kind of lens i think you can afford a better camera.

  • @Jakelol1980

I now use a 1D4, 5D2 and a 7D for birding. For the BIFs against a sky background as shown in the video, the 40D was a very capable body.

  • @romyocon Ok i see, im thinking about geting the 7D for birding.

  • @Jakelol1980 Actually he already have a better body, if you read the description, the video was filmed with the 5D Mk II (I've got no fucking idea why he didn't use it for the photos though)

  • @LordWeedSmoker because with a 5d2 he would get 400mm focal range, but with 40d he got 600mm focal range. So actually he used cropped sensor as a teleconverter. And there is nothing wrong with 40d anyway.

  • @LordWeedSmoker because 40d has double the burst rate of 5dmarkii

  • @LordWeedSmoker He didn't use the 5D Mk2 for the photos so he could film the video =)

  • @Jakelol1980

Better a 'cheapo' camera and a good lens than a 'cheapo' lens and a good camera.

  • @Jakelol1980 who cares its not about the camera its about the lens, what a troll.

  • haha the sound of non stop shooting sounds just like a aeg airsoft gun xD

  • wouldve been nice to see some of the end shots at the end......

  • nice kabayan...ganda....

  • Inspiration video my friend.

  • Wonderful shots... and wonderful that you share this experience with your son.

  • mabuhay ka romyocon......!!!

  • nice setup :)

  • I can't seem to find videos of the 400m f5.6, but is it around the same size as this 2.8 ???

  • @PhelpsPhotos

The 400 2.8 is so much larger than the 400 5.6.

  • r u guys rich?

  • This reminds me of a scene in pearl harbour " Have you acquired it? firree!!" and the cameras sound like machine guns

  • @shlayma i agree point and shoot is all it is mind you you can't help get sometohing then...but who cares?

  • Romy, I have been following your work for a few years now. I am a big fan. It is nice to see your son taking interest in photo/video(graphy).
