This is one of my fave acts of the show. I saw them live when they came to Adelaide in 2006. It wasn't Olga performing then, but a girl named Irina (I think?). And they left the handbalancing act out of the show for some reason! I was so disappointed! :(
@EpicFailOnline Often the songs are in French, Spanish, or other languages but the speech within the shows (clowns, characters, etc) are jibberish. I don't know which the words in this are.
I don't speak the language, so I can't confirm this as solid fact, but I've heard that its Romany, the language of the Gypsies. There are some words that sound VERY Slavic, (to me, anyway) though, like Slatko -- meaning sweet. It funny, though. I think a great many people would rather keep the mystique alive by not knowing the translation. One of Cirque's most phenomenal traits, IMO. There's so much multicultural influence, you can't help but be awed by the human goodness.
My absolute favorite piece from any Cirque show... she's an unbelievable performer and the styling of the music, the story, the make-up, and costuming are all perfect.
I don't know how you can COMPARE Cirque shows. Each one has unique components. Like how are you supposed to rate something like Dralion and compare it to "O"? Dralion is a Chinese based show while "O" is centered around water. Each one is unique. And... I dare you to say that to Olga as well as the Atherton twins (who perform Aerial Straps). I hope you seriously don't call yourself a true Cirque fan.
You obviously don't know how to rate a Cirque show. Have you seen their other shows? Varekai is one of the amazing ones and I have seen 5 of their shows live
Ahhhh dang. Ever since I saw this show on Bravo like...what? Four, five years ago? It's been my favorite.
She's so talented. I'd love to be able to be at that sort of physical excellence. And not to mention to have that sort of imagination that Cirque Du Soleil has...
(And fyi, I've always had the biggest crush on Anton Chelnokov...XD...he made Varekai for me. :) I blame him for my beautiful taste in men now. ;P)
This is my second favorite Cirque show, the first being Dralion. Everything about Varekai just gives me a feeling of calmness whenever I watch it, especially this song and Vocea =)
wow! All I can say to that... except that most contortionists I've seen are just hideous and unnatural. She is completely different. She is beautiful and graceful, every movement is controlled and deliberate, not choppy and painful looking. She is extremely talented! ^_^
That's incredible! how ilimited is the man imagination! Amazing what people can do!
The one thing about her that always gets my goat, is that her knees seem slightly hyper-extended. She would not make a great ballet dancer, but good for her, she is a great contortionist!
this strange thought just popped into my head... Those girls in the bule with the funky coloured hair... They look sorta like Tia Dalma of Pirates Of the Carribean...
This girl's flexibility, coordination, strength, and balance is amazing. I get so boggled every time I see this video. I wish I could see it live T___T

one of the best things about this (other than the fact that olga is amazing) is that the costume is beautiful. It's really hard to make a truly tasteful costume for a contortionist, and they've done it.
Three silverback gorillas enjoying a weekend pass from the San Diego Zoo...staying at the Lucky Lucy hotel in Las Vegas...playing blackjack at the Mustang Sally casino...good friends...having fun...getting drunk...slapping womens' butts as they walk by...getting in trouble...getting tranquilized and put back in the San Diego Zoo.
Really-silly poetry, written in the spirit of Dr.Seuss: Barney Fife Needs a wife Who can cook And read a book She should like sex And building decks She must be beautiful With gorgeous long hair At her beauty Barney will just stare No buck teeth Or breast implants She must not be afraid To DANCE!...DANCE!...DANCE!
Olga has a bun...bun...bun...in her oven...oven...oven...it's a slow cooker...a nine-month special...in several more months she'll be in a family way...if it's a boy: Jaleelabob...if it's a girl...Floozy
Olga loves to skinny dip. Her two favorite places are the Virgin River and the Dirty Devil Diver, both in Utah. And, wouldn't you know it...Casper the Friendly Ghost is there every time she does.
If Dr.Seuss says that a young woman, such as a 26-year-old Russian born hand-balance-on-canes circus performer who speaks Russian, French, and English, but doesn't speak German, Japanese, or Italian, has a bun in her oven...a slow cooker...a nine-month special...what does he mean?
Olga is so wild and crazy, she shows up at Christmas parties wearing a mistletoe necklace. But it's a trick! When a guy approaches and tries to oblige her, she takes brass knuckles out of her pocket, slips 'em on her right hand, and knocks him out. She's a rascal of a circus performer!
If you say that a young woman, such as a Russian-born-hand-balance-on-canes-circus performer, has a bun in her oven...a slow cooker...a nine-month special...what does that mean?
Olga has acqired a ghost...Casper, the Friendly Ghost. He frequently pulls the covers off of Olga while she's asleep. Less often, but more fun for Casper, is when he moves Olga's bowl of cereal or plate of food, when she's eating alone. That really gives her the heebie jeebies. He's a rascal of a ghost!

This is an example of really-bad poetry, worthy of Dr.Seuss:
She is a Cirque hottie

And yet, not a single Cirque fan knows

It could be blackjack, euchre
Heats, five-card stud, pinochle...
The list goes on and on
One thing is for certain...
She's never mowed a lawn
