@itchykawa I thought you only had to use those once for setting theme up, and then once all the info is programed you don't need it. been considering one myself, but if i have to keep a keyboard plugged in i don't really want one.

@wako1803 Yes, you can control climate and blinds and even a iRoomba....but as for the density of lights? YES YOU CAN. I use the IR-543 and it's capable of dimming the lights.

@rkymtnlaw Thanks, I'm always here to help. I didn't do to much with the PS3 adapter, but it's just like the Playstation remote. You just pair it and it becomes number 7 on the PS3, and you will no longer be able to use the Sony Remote (PS3 remote) that was sold separately for the Playstation. Once, that is configured, you can set it up on the harmony and it will warn you that you need that adapter for it to work. PS3 Adapter must be in line sight for IR. Converts the IR to Bluetooth.

@rkymtnlaw Yes, the USB is a standard USB A to B cable. I know Playstation and Digital cameras and many other electronics use them. They are universal. So if you have one for your remote, that's all you need for both. You will never have to connect both at the same time to update them. It will ask you for the Extender first and then the remote. Both must be updated every time you change a setting on the remote.
Also while I was looking for my X-10 lighting control unit I they have a cool remote you might want to check out I bought my dad one beware when you buy stuff from X-10.com they keep offering killer deals on more stuff ad always thanks for your help in advance and again dude you ROCK!

@rkymtnlaw Yea, so If i can read the mistyped words, you got the 1100 and are waiting for your RF Wireless remote extender with the IR bugs to come in. Well, You don't need the IR bugs as long as you have the RF Wireless extender and the equipment you are using in plain sight. If the equipment is behind closed doors you need to put the RF extender behind the doors and/or use the IR bugs too. Also to set it up, you need to hook the RF unit to the computer and tell it what to control.
Also can you let me know in your opinion which is better apple tv or the Sony smp-N100 I'm looking to pick one up again you Rock the apple tv video is also cool
@rkymtnlaw To be fair the Sony smp-N100 has more to offer in terms of streaming content. Apple TV for some odd reason doesn't support Hulu Plus. The sony one does,....but I use my iPad and iPhone on the go with Movies and stuff...so when I come home from watching something on my iPhone and I instantly push the movie to my TV and continue watching it using the APPLE TV. That's why I bought the Apple TV, it just works well with my iPhone and iPod obviously. Both are great devices.
@rkymtnlaw Apple TV doesn't have any channels per say...it's a stream device like Roku. If you have iPhones, iPod Touches, or even iPads, Apple TV is the way to go. You can stream your content from your "i" devices straight to your Apple TV. Also Apple TV connects with your network computers, using itunes. You can also subscribe to Netflix for shows and movies, and also use youtube or watch games using the MLB network. I hope this helps.

@rkymtnlaw Thanks, for the 1000, if you have all the original materials, box, manual, cables, dock, and the battery still holds a charge, you can get over $100 probably for it. You really have to make it look like new on ebay.
@rkymtnlaw oh and by the way, the rattle is normal for the 1000. That's the sensor for the remote to wake up and turn on the LCD. The 1100 doesn't have this issue.....it's another little thing they fixed in the new remote.
@DarkDaniel101 oh yes, it does, check out my other video on the 1000. This was just an update video to show some differences. But yes, it controls everything from the sound to turning it off as well.
