What the officials should have done is looked at the monitor, eject the players, then call the game so ejections would stand. This Xavier team basically admitted to being dirty and full of thugs in the press conference and there idiot coach allowed them to make these comments. What the officials should have done is looked at the monitor, eject the players, then call the game so ejections would stand. Unfortunately, they took the easy way out by just calling the game with no penalties. Unfortunately, they seemed to lose control. That Xavier player should have been t'ed up at the end of the 1st half for trying to instigate a situation. Players wolfing at each other during the national anthem? Seriously! This game was doomed from the start lol

All that #5 was doing was protecting his teammate. I still say both full teams should not be allowed to play for the rest of the season. The benches cleared, that is enough said. Both teams showed bad sportsmanship and don't deserve to play this year. I also think they should eliminate this rivalry.

Fighting happens a lot when games get lopsided like this. Emotions run high and players let it get the best of them sometimes. It happens in all sports and I don't have a problem with it. What I do have a problem with is cheap-shots like the shove Wells threw that started it and especially sucker-punches like the one Yancy Gates threw on Frease. If you've got a problem with someone, man up and take them on face-to-face instead of punching a defenseless player when he's not looking.
