It's like they're embarrassed to be seen. Why would you want to hide behind a full face helmet? I just spent $25,636 on the 2012 airbag model and put nearly $10k in accessories on it. I want to be seen. I might have the sex appeal of a school bus fire, but I'm on a Gold Wing!
I rode Titus (Tight Ass) canyon from Hwy 395 to Furnace Creek on a 750 Honda in 1973. That road cannot be ridden with out going down. There are area's on that road where the pee gravel is 3 feet deep. It's like an avalance, it catches the front wheel and down you go. I don't have a problem going down, I have a problem picking it up when you can't get any traction yourself.
Well done Gentlemen..... you are now qualified as "Dirt Road Riders.... grade 3".... lol......
now to continue to a higher grade may i invite you to Australia for a tour of the Outback..... you'll love it.... hope you don't mind a few stone chips and a bit of Kangaroo guts on the paintwork.....
Am I the only Gold Wing owner who refuses to wear a full face helmet?

@pmgodfrey No, I see most in 3/4 lids during the Summer. This was the dead of Winter.

umm riding on dirt doesn't make it a dirtbike. Anyone ride in a straight line, let's see them corner at speed.

I beg to differ! The GS ADV has to eat a lot of dirt to match the Africa Twin...
