ummmmm WTF did I just listen to? Wiki said this was the only Freebird cover, so I came to check it out. I kept waiting for the Freebird part of the song to come, BUT IT NEVER CAME.
meh, of course i love the lynyrd skynyrd better, but this isa good song too, but if i have to think of something to against it, is that everytime i hear "and this bird you cannot change" i just need a guitar solo, sorry i just do =(... a well nice song anyways
The perfect blend of two very wonderful heartfelt songs. Me and my best friend use to jam to this while crusin and partying. He's gone know at the age of 40. Think of him everytime I hear this song.
I can appreciate the creativity of this song. Putting together Frampton's "Baby I love your way" and Skynard's "Freebird" was a damn good idea. In fact, if you didn't know better, you wouldn't suspect they were two different songs. Well done.
5 folks didn't like the idea of the medley. Why did Bob Rosenberg drop his r's when he sang 'Free bird'? Is he English? If not, he most likely doesn't drop 'em when he talks! Billboard's 715th #1 hit of the rock era. God bless! Hugs to ya, for postin' it!
@xoxBrittyBoo me too, It sucked majorly back then ... amazaingly enough, since I dont hear it all the time like back then, it doesn't bother me as much ... but I do Hate that synth ... use to make me sick in 87, 88, 89.
Remember when rap and hip hop didn't take up half the charts and real songs like this were dominant? Rap had its early start in the late 70's through the 80's and entered the mainstream towards the latter half of the 80's, and deteriorated (in my opinion) from there. I can tolerate some "old school" rap such as songs from the Sugarhill Gang. I think it has had some influence on the quality of today's music, but I believe music will continue to evolve and change for the better as time flows.
This song is a great description of what the 80's where...Great Music..Now adays everysong has a remix or someone rapping over it. Even Rappers are singing now...When this came out i was about 11...Music was better then...Everyone was blasting this song out of there cars or houses...Good times....
@mattweb1151 What's your problem? Wait I know you don't like 80s music. You like shitty music made these days. Excuse me, you dipshit 80s music is the best and there is no music better than 80s music. Also I'm under the impression that you don't like 60s or 70s music either. So therefore you probably just like horrid music from the 2000s and I bet your a druggie.
whatever happened to this band I wonder that everytime I cloes my eyes.
