Freddie Mercury.Brian May..Roget Taylor.John Deacon..you lived up to your name...Queen. Freddie chose this name in part cause it was regal..powerful..something absolute..this is Queen.4 men each a musical genius..masters of their craft. I consider myself fortunate.to have seen them live 3 times..they were amazing.from the first cord...to the first note of Freddie's...clear. perfect voice..you were taken on a musical journey.Their music will live on..Freddie.was a gem may he RIP
Excuse me.. But I think you folks who are talkin about John Deacons vocals are missing the point of Rock Music!
Queen were a band! A band that had 4 fantastic individuals who happened to CLICK together..
The shy/quiet guy in Queen was John Deacon. A bass player who made his bass sound VERY HEAVY!!. He also wrote one of Queens biggest selling singles ever... 'Another One Bites The Dust'.
I have listened to a LOT of queen, and nothing else, for ... the last 3 years, that was John Deacon's voice 110%. Roger's voice was the husky voice. And I couldn't hear Brian May singing (his voice is very mellow and distinctive on the middle or high notes and doesn't have a thin edge to it at all). If you listen to Queen live aid, radio gaga, john deacon sings alto harmony for the chorus, it's not bad, (it's not great either though hehe, but he was awesome), i agree all he needed was practice!!
Yeah, plus with all the money he had (due to Queen's success), he could've get the best singing teacher in the world ! Never understood why he didn't do that.
hearing john sing is kinda funny, but he only really stuck out like a sore thumb once or twice. he actually mixed in quite nicely the rest of the time. go john!

i was there 30 years ago tonight . i went to the second night 0n 7th june 1977 . i have gr8 memories of this concert thanx for uploading. rock in peace freddie!!! and this was the last song of the night if my memory serves me well lol. after the concert everybody was walkin thru the tube station singing this . it was so emotional . keep yourself alive mate and the memories of queen . cheers
This song is so amazing!! I especially loooooove the piano intro that Freddie played on this one. I wish he always played that. Queen look and sound like mythological beings from another place and time. They are just to good to be true.
I like when Freddie touch piano like test it before start song, there born so nice introduction, I like so much, sometime too Brain do that with guitar, I love it. I will copy that introduction for my next video :-P
One of the great things about Queen it's that the improvised in every song, almost all the time they never sing it like the sang it in the album, that's why this it's the greatest rock band of ALL TIME!!
This song is classic. Love Brian's little speech at the beggining^^ and John's voice at 3.00 =)

If John let his voice out more often, then his voice would get better over the years.

Queen didn't have much money cause of corruption from their manager or something.
yatuiig 2 years ago
@yatuiig He wasn't a bad singer at all. He had quite a nice voice, but he wasn't confident in it. Lacked a bit of tone but could have been worked on.
