I read on CNN's website about a month ago that DELOREAN is talking about bringing back the Solstice! Honestly, and it looks pretty cool, not too many drastic changes from the original. Supposed to be next year or 2012. I have the a dark grey convertible Solstice and LOVE IT! I will never get rid of it. The sweetest ride I've even experienced. Really, really sweet.

actually i have because I used to own one after my miata. I regret buying the s2000 because the miata was more fun around corners. Now I have an e36 m3, which is more practical and cost me thousands less than both my previous cars.

it's amazing you think a s2000 is not as much fun around corners. it's heavier longer but its suspension is more advanced and stiffer and it has stock limited diff so i wouldn't think so. i love my miata around the corner, that's for sure.

I have a 2008. Paid $20,000 NEW for it. LEather, monsoon, all power. I love it. I like the looks better than the z4. If raw speed is your primary concern, you should'nt be looking at Z4's, masda's, or 350's. They ARE ALL UNDERPOWERED. Buy a vette and get it over with. Debating the relative speed of a z4 vs a Solstice is like comparing the speed of my dump truck vs yours. People do debate that, but no smart people.

bottom modle z4 (2.5l) would destroy the bottom modle solstice. Get a gxp...those are excelent cars for the money.

You missed my point. All these cars are TOYS. None of them are fast. A new Z4 cost as much as a real car, and might out run a mx5 or a solstice. Oil changes are $140, Alternators cost nearly $1000 to replace. All this money for a 6 cyl UNDERPOWERED toy. For that kinda money, you can buy 2 Solstices, or a Corvette. I can get a lot more fun for $ out of a Solstice. If I wanted to go fast, I would never consider a Z4, nor a MX5 Nor a Solstice.

I was really considering getting this car but once i heard that it is a manual top i was like hell no for that price their should be a power top thats disgraceful if its starts raining ill have to turn around and put the top down manually thats dangerous when im driving

Manual TOP????? That's lame! My Spyder has a power top that puts it up and down in just 15 seconds. I couldn't imagine having to do it manually, that'd suck ass. I was thinking about getting one of these, but with a manual top, forgetaboutit. I mean the car is $27,000, they can't put in a power top. That's lame!

funny how it uses a "rice" transmission Lol :) ar5 is from aisin and is actually an almost exact design as the R series of toyota transmission. "r154 - toyota supra turbo 87-92" other R series are in toyota trucks , 4 runners etc

American auto manufactures are struggling to stay in business. While German automakers make excellent cars, there's a premium for quality. Japanese cars are fast, fun, reliable, and have higher resale. I like the Pontiac Solstice because it looks similar to the Shelby Cobra but without a power top, I'll pass.

I have a 2006 Solstice and I will never get rid of it. All Black, all equiped. Wasn't priced as what they tell you , trust me... but so worth it. Really not made for anyone taller than 5'10" if you really want to be comfy. But the tighter the seats the balsier you feel on the curves. Hehe

My son and Hubby are both 6'5" and they fit. Plenty of head room just knees to the glovebox. I bought mine just for me anyway, an early retirement gift because that's how long it will take me to pay her off... Ha! Only way to know for sure is to try one on for size...
